Excellent Audible book and story.
Christina still feels the hurt from the betrayal from her deceased husband. Because of it she vows to herself to never fall in love again. When she gets too close she leaves that man and finds another. This is what she does with Benedict. However, he loves Christina and doesn't intend on letting her go. This book is filled with witty banter, wonderful friends that support each other, consensual and sensual BDSM moments, humor, deep emotions, determination, and most of all love.
The narrator does an excellent job of bringing you right into the story and feeling the emotions of the characters.
I received this Audible book in exchange for a review. I highly recommend this book. You will fall in love with Golden Angel's characters and want to read more about them. They become your book world friends because of the friendship and love between them.

Had To Pause The Book To Drop This Review
I’ve never felt such a pressing need to smash someone upside the head with a frying pan as I do in this moment!
I have completely fallen in love with Golden Angel’s books and this story is no less amazing than her others. I’m so intrigued by the storyline thus far (I’m currently at chp 7). But I have to believe she herself either did not or could not listen to this crap! This narrator is so bad and as I listen to him more I truly believe it to be intentional. Since this type of story clearly is nothing but a joke to him, he is trying his hardest to make us listening feel ashamed of ourselves for indulging in it. I’m not even talking about his accents (plural, since every sentence is spoken with a different abhorrent fake accent). And yes, I understand it is hard for male to narrate as female even when he is trying, but this jerk-off is intentionally trying to do the worst female impression ever. That isn’t an assumption, he makes it completely obvious in the way he also takes very masculine Commands of Benedict and turns them into the most sissified versions he can possibly deliver. Scenes that you know would normally make your panties melt he literally turns into sneers. I can picture him pausing his voice recording to laugh as he is narrating them.
I highly suggest that you go back to kindle and buy the book and read it yourself. You will get the giddy butterflies and wet panties if you can just hear the story in your own head. I promise!!
I have purchased about 10 of her books on audibles and it can sometimes be harder to get into them even when it’s a woman reading both parts. But even so, within a few chapters you get used to the narrator and get sucked into Golden Angel’s amazing story lines. This one is just making me want to rip my earbuds out and consider the credit I just spent on this book as lost money. I wasn’t sure if giving him 0 stars ⭐️ for narration would work so I gave him 1 but he deserves -$12.50 worth of stars so I can buy another book without him in it.

You’ll get to revisit characters you already love from the series. The characters are wonderful and full of life. I would recommend this for fans of historical romance with a bdsm twist.

Another good one in the series...
Benedict's and Christina's story is another good one in this delightful series -- just the right mix of romance and naughtiness! Poor Christina fights her feelings for Benedict in order to avoid the pain of heartbreak. Benedict realizes just how much he cares and vows to get past the walls she's put up around her heart. Brian Briar does a good job with this narration as well. You'll want to check out the other in this series!

So nice to return to the domestic discipline couples
While I enjoyed the main couple and their journey to a happy relationship through spankings and sexy times as well among the ton in Victorian London, I was also happy to get updates about the previous pairs.

Comical
This narrator is comically bad....I suffered through a good book while he made it an unpleasant experience. audio oops are convenient as I get older because I'm busy but this is one I should've bought in print. recommend the author but no the guy reading it!!!

Lovely Story, Terrible Narrator
The story was wonderful per usual for this series but it was the narrator that made it hard to get through. The Scottish “accent” didn’t sound like any accent really and the way all the feminine sighs, moans and dialogue were narrated were borderline insulting to women kind. Golden Angel is a wonderful storyteller so I would recommend on that alone but my advice would be to go for a physical book….
