Publisher's summary

Veterinarian Seth Davies comes to Senaka, Wyoming, looking for peace and anonymity, trying to escape his past. He’s always been a target for trouble and pain, and Seth has had more than his share of both. Kasey Whitedove takes one look at Seth and assumes the worst. No white man could love animals the way the mostly Cheyenne population expects, and Kasey makes Seth’s first days in Senaka more than unpleasant.

Then an accident puts Kasey in the uncomfortable position of eating crow - and helplessly desiring Seth - despite the danger of Kasey’s life as a werewolf and Seth’s stressful secrets. Chasing Seth down and keeping him safe from his past has just become Kasey's most important job.

A very good listen

This was a very good listen. It was nothing spectacular like Feral Sins, but it was pretty good. I really didn't like the racial bigamy but I got over it pretty easy and so did the characters. I am wondering what is going to happen to the brother and friend more than Seth and the Sheriff. All in all, I did enjoy the story, the smex was even good, but this is most definitely a credit and not a buy.

Narration was very well done. Gelder is often a good narrator.

great story marred by lack of editing

I love this author and this story. I love it so much that I'd happily correct all her grammar and poor word choices for free. I have listened to this recording at least ten times and I still yell at the narrator mispronounced words and the authors incorrect word uses.

very sweet

I liked this story, although I'm not the sentimental type I found myself saying "awww that's so sweet" in certain parts however there are some parts that were a little corny. the narrator did a good job, I just wish he would have gave the different characters different voices, if I wasn't paying attention I didn't know who was talking to who. all in all good story now I'm on to the "sequel"

Average shifter story, good narrator

The storyline isnt bad, but it could have been expanded to be good if the author had taken the ideas that he allready had and wrote more On the background of both MC, maybe incorporated the childhood/teenyears of seth into the story. But i guess that would have been a book in a different Class alltogether and this story is as most shifterstories an "insta-love of mate i spite of initial dislike" kind of story. If u like stories like that, i guess this is as good as Any other, but since it is the second time i listened to this and had no idea that i had listened to it before, it might be forgettable for everyone. Narrator is one of the better On audiable - so maybe choose this one instead of one of the other shifter stories like it, that unfortunately are read by narrators Who are really bad.

Sweet, predictable story but horrible narration

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe, sweet but predictable shifter story. But I would tell them to read the book, not get the audio version.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narration was very monatone and boring. No emotion at all; everyone pretty much sounded the same.

Was Chasing Seth worth the listening time?

Not really, I should have read the book.

Any additional comments?

It's obvious a sequel was contemplated and I would buy it, but not the audio version.

Love it

This is one of my most favorite books and I’m so happy it’s on audio now! I love this story so much, it’s one of the few books I’ve read more than once, and this one I’ve read several times. This book has action and romance and unexpected twists. It has moments that will make you laugh out loud and moments that will make you cry. The main characters are easy to love and a bad guy you’ll love to hate.

Enjoyable Book

The book is good in that it has a solid plot and a sexy, alluring romance between two people who share a very strong emotional bond. The author does well in keeping us in suspense, not telling us exactly what emotional trauma that Seth has endured until it is time, and she doesn't rush too quickly into the romance which is a plus if you're looking for something other than mindless, heated sex in the first few chapters.

The pet names and the descriptions are out of hand, as well. Kasey often calls Seth 'pup', and this is endearing at first. When he begins to throw it in after every sentence, however, I just had to start skipping over it. I couldn't handle it. Often Kasey is referred to as the big Cheyenne or the tall Cheyenne while Seth is described as small to the point that I feel as though Seth is two feet tall and Kasey is a hulking giant when he's supposed to be slender and slightly built, just a bit taller than Seth. Warning: in their heads they will also call each other 'my sheriff' or 'my mate'. The mate one is very repetitive, which is something you can see in the preview of the story when Kasey rescues the black wolf after 'she' jumps off the cliff by accident.

All in all, I would say that the book was worth what I paid for it. I did actually enjoy the story, even if there were some unfinished bits at the end and some loose ends to tie up. **spoiler**(Nick, for example, and his mate never actually get together. I'd be interested in a sequel.)**end spoiler** While the book could use some editing, it was not a bad story. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sugary romance with some pretty heated sex scenes. (Those needed no editing as they were actually perfect.)

wonderful tearjerker

What made the experience of listening to Chasing Seth the most enjoyable?

The great writing and wonderful narration.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the story left some tangents open so the author can give us more stories. I want to read about the brother and the best friend.

I enjoyed this book.

It had a bit of everything romance, mystery, and I really enjoyed the whole my mate thing with shifters. I would recommend this book who enjoy those HEA stories.

Didn’t live up to its potential

The story had potential. The narration was the worst part. When you become a narrator for Audible, you are essentially becoming a voice actor. You need to express the proper emotions for what you are narrating. This guy didn’t do a very good job of that at all. Oh, and you also need to learn proper pronunciations of the words you are saying. This guy mispronounced so many words and it got annoying.

If you’re just looking for a book to have playing in the background while you’re doing something else, this one is fine. If you’re looking for something great that will suck you into their world and you lose hours and hours of your day, this ain’t it hun.
