About this listen

MULTI-CAST DUET - An Amazon number one bestselling series.

I tried everything to get his attention, but I invited in a monster.

After facing a threat to my life, I found myself kidnapped and locked away by the skeleton crew’s enforcer. Connor is feared. Respected. And obsessed with me.

He controls everything, right down to my pleasure. His rules dictate what I can and can’t touch. When I can and can’t wear clothes.

What’s strange is how happy I am.

From the outside, my old life appeared perfect, but my father’s iron grip had suffocated me. Now, in the hands of my captor, I can finally breathe.

With the body count racking up in Deadwater, I never want to leave my masked man’s protection. Even if caring for me might cause his downfall.

Without realising it, I’ve become Connor’s claim. But how long can it last when the secrets I keep threaten us both?

--Read as multi-cast duet by Allie Rose, Lucas Webley, Zara Hampton-Brown, and Shane East, Connor’s Claim is the second book in the interconnected dark romance Body Count trilogy, featuring a murder mystery and a crew who will do anything to keep their women.

Tropes:· The unhinged tattooed enforcer and the mayor’s daughter· Dangerous play (including BC tampering)· Somno· Forced proximity· Throat tattoo, stabby implements, and something pierced

As with Arran’s book, check the TWs if you need to (the list is still just as long as … it should be, dirty girl).

The book was wonderful intriguing and the performance was perfect. The whole book is unhinged not just the characters.

Connor's voice is hypnotic

Regarding the narration: Allie Rose and Lucas Webley bring Everly and Connor to life in a way that fully emerses you intonthe story. Shane East's performance as Arran brings another level of depth. I fully enjoyed the performances and the effects, although they may feel a bit distracting on occasion.

Regarding the story: This is not the typical Jolie Vines book, so if you are looking for something similar to her Marry the Scot series, this isn't it. Read the trigger warnings before you start this book. Connor and Everly's relationship has lots of spice, but there is a lot of somno/paralytic type play. She has a lot of trust in him to allow this type of CNC/Dubcon. In the beginning Connor doesn't understand the depth of Everly's care for him and Everly feels trapped by her father's control over her and her life. I love Connor's growth and strong protective instinct over Everly. I have a lot of thoughts on the murder mystery but I have the feeling Riordan's book will blow me away since Cassie is a showstopper in ever scene she is in.
