Publisher's summary

When Sloan Driscoll and Cole Fujiwara become reluctant roommates, Sloan is instantly attracted to Cole but knows it's a hopeless cause. Cole has a steady girlfriend. One night they share a joint, and Cole opens a window neither anticipated.

A relationship may be impossible - both men are living with heartbreaking secrets. While Sloan is smart, sassy, and a brilliant graphic artist, he's also a pothead with severe body image problems. Cole, a former major league pitcher, has his own personal crisis: He's going blind.

Sloan and Cole are suffering on so many levels, they might not realize that the ultimate salvation could be within each other's arms.

Cole was a jerk

I actually liked this book despite my criticism. I didn't like Cole not one bit he was so mean, and I get it he was upset about his eye disease but that's no excuse to be a butt hole, I hated how Sloan just instantly forgave him for all the mean things Cole said to him and how he treated him, all because he found out about coles eyes. but then again when the emotional parts happened I felt them, the narrator also did a good job but I felt his voice for Cole was a little off, but I guess it matched with his abrasive personality.
this book just took way too long for Cole to get his head out of his butt and REALLY give Sloan a chance.

Great Story - John Solo was Fantastic

What an excellent story! Everything Mickie B. Ashling writes is so beautifully put together, the lengths she goes in researching topics always means I learn something fascinating and it adds a dimension to her stories that I definitely appreciate.

There's an interesting twist here which I can't discuss without using spoiler tags, but the whole thing was really nicely done and made for a truly creative story.

I did the audio version and John Solo was spectacular as always. Gah, his Max voice was so hot I seriously got shivers... soooo good. 5 stars for John Solo.
