I binged this entire book in a single sitting. Stayed up all night. It's that good and gets progressively better and better.

I've only discovered Ms. Godwins writing in recent weeks and have quickly become obsessed. Her writing is so beautiful. Even the books I didnt love, I was still able to appreciate her writing and storytelling. I love her ability to craft humans with haunted souls and their magnetism toward other haunted souls.

I started out wanting to knee this H in balls and wanting to shake the heroine and ended up loving them both so much individually and absolutely adoring them together.


That being said, I wish she gave her heroines more backbone. What's so frustrating is that she writes INCREDIBLE heroines but they're always lacking a backbone when it really matters and, as a weak heroine is my biggest petpeeve, it's soooooo disappointing and frustrating to me. Particularly so because they're so amazing in all other aspects, flaws and all.

How I felt about heroine during first 50%...still loved her, but hated that she didn't stand up for herself sometimes and normally I would've HATED her and dnf, but Godwin is so amazing that for the first time ever I fell in love with a h who exhibited the traits I hate the most. Even during the portion of the book in which I was screaming at her to stand up for herself and own a situation, I still liked her. Which is blowing my mind.

With EVERYTHING this h had been through she should he a hell of alot stronger, smarter, and less naive. Whats the point of subjecting a character to all of that if you're not going to equip them with the strength that goes along with it?!? Her level of neediness, desperation, and clingyness enraged me. I totally get why she yearns for love and affection, but going through what she does should harden her enough to not be pathetic the 1st time a man shows her attention....and it's not even different attention than every other walking penis in her life.

I have to stop for now because I'm just getting more and more enraged. Also, no one wants an H who's still in love with his ex, especially one who screwed them over royally. There's not enough balance between his dom side and caring side. Its not the bdsm that annoys me....at all. It's the fact that this H is being shoved down our throat as someone who's so caring and concerned regarding her when everything he's done thus far have all been for himself and NOT good for someone you know is currently a sexual assault victim. Don't get me wrong he doesn't go hard on the bdsm. Just spanking. It's his treatment of her. He's so cruel and callous while occasionally throwing out a crumb of not even kindness just "not sh**ty af-ness" .

Beautiful, gut wrenching writing

The story is well written and captivating. Ivory and Emeric’s story is both tragic and darkly beautiful. Pam Godwin made me want to keep listening the entire day. Ava and Tad allowed the story to come alive with their performances. This book will stay in my top must read or in this case must listen to.

A beautiful taboo story. The author does a great job capturing your attention in the first minute of this audio and doesn’t let you go until the end! I wish the story was longer!

This was a great listen! Going further to identify it as one of my favorites. A true love story. The story was extremely realistic from Ivory 's poor background and treatment, true love and what someone who unconditionally you loves with all their heart is willing to do to make you feel safe and happy. There were so many moments when I laughed and awed. Emeric and Ivory's love is timeless. Soul mates really do exist.

Living in New Orleans I found it interesting to have it described somewhat interesting. Although Tremendous is not a slum, many neighborhoods in New Orleans, as well as most cities, have their downside. The story, story and it accuracy, not the sex drove this read. Sorry there are not many more like it.

Are we supposed to love this story so much because it is going down as one of my favorites. I love Ava and Tad and they brought this book to life so much.

Throughout the book I was on edge about when and how someone would find out about them. It was so much more, Emerick loved Ivory and just gave her everything she needed and it was sexy and just roped you in from the beginning.

I will definitely be listening again❤️
