good story and a narration change

So Bruce decided to swap narrators and have the whole series rerecorded (things are still wonky there but that's on Amazon/Audible). On one hand, I appreciate the narration consistency across Bruce's book and have nothing bad to say about Threet and Boucher. But I really didn't have anything bad to say about Lewis Alexander and Rozelyn Rader either. And going from listening to up to book 6 with the original narration to 7 with the new narration was quite jarring. And while I did eventually enjoy the narration, it was an adjustment. Particularly when it came to Threet's voice acting. I'm fine with reusing the voices we've heard before in other Bruce books, but there wasn't enough distinction in voices to easily differentiate the female cast. Which I know isn't the most fair complaint given it's a harem fantasy and there's like 3 semi regular male voices and a dozen female. Still, it just didn't feel as diverse in range as Rozelyn's voice acting.

I'm sure it'll grow on me more when I eventually relisten to the series (once Amazon gets themselves sorted) and start the series with the new narration.

New narrators

With the new narrators it just sounds like Ards oath. The characters are totally different now. As for audiobooks I think this series is dead to me. I’ll just read it for now on

Great book but the same concern as many others

I always LOVE Bruce's books. This one was no exception. I am quite confused as to why Jessica changed her voices in this book. Everyone seems to believe there was a change in narrators but she's been the female VA for this entire series according to the title pages, she just didn't stick to her voices from the previous books for some reason.

still a great story

story's is good but the narrators sound like they never read a previous book and all the female characters now have an accent that was never there

New narrators? This late?

Let me start off with I love the story and the narrators are great at presenting it.

Sadly, these are not the original narrators for this series and this is book 7 so it’s really way too late to switch in my opinion. The voices for all the characters are already associated with the past narrators and it’s hard to know who is even talking due to me not recognizing their voice. This situation makes the story less impactful almost like I never knew these characters. New people getting into this series may not agree but at this point in time it really sucks for those who were waiting for the next book.

I hopefully this is not the author or narrators fault as I know they have made great works such as “Ard’s Oath.” It’s just this really ruins this series for me since it is same story but basically feeling like entirely different characters.

Hoping we get the other narrators back to finish this series until then, I’ve lost my passion for this series.

It's the narrators

Chris and Jessica are both amazing narrators and I've never had a problem with them. just don't think it was a good call to change.
