Publisher's summary

A graduate student working in animal genetics, Beth Coldwell is in town to track and tag big cats in the wild. Her prospects for the summer only improve when she meets Kelan and Reidar Falke and decides the sexy brothers are the right pair to fulfill her other, less than scientific, desires.…

But her research is a threat to the Falke family secret. When Kelan, in cougar form, is captured, that secret comes closer than ever to being revealed. He escapes, but not before Beth draws a blood sample, and analysis shows this is no ordinary mountain lion.

Kelan and Reidar cannot deny the powerful attraction they feel toward Beth. She might just be their destined mate. But if they reveal themselves to her, will she embrace who they are or see them as just another science experiment?

Captive to this Story!

I absolutely adored this sexy shifter menage. Of course, it was hot but there was just the right amount of angst and build up, all the right tension to finally make the moment they give in perfection. So fun, adventurous and sexy. And the narrator rocked it.

Great listening

The story itself is captivating and almost believable. Ms Matthews reads with a smooth diction that keeps your attention, and keeps you waiting for the next sentence, paragraph and chapter. She gives a certain yearning aspect to the novel that is both intelligent and in keeping with its characters. Three cheers for this new audible.

Beware this is Erotica Paranormal Book 2

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Another bad reader, AKA Lexi Maynard who reads Shayla Black books. This author can write. Good story line on both books. The readers are killing it for her. You have to tune out the voice and just get the story line. That is not what audio listeners want to do.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Both books are a good listen if you want Erotica paranormal. these guys are fun, hot, and sexy in a paranormal story, but you have get pass the readers. Hence the win win price.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Ok on female voice. But very bad on male voice, so much that she does as much as she can in the female voice. When the men are thinking out loud, her use of her female voice is a distraction and not a help. This reader uses contractions that gave her away and gave the clue to be able to look up another bad reader/ stories. I could be wrong on the AKA, but bad is still bad reading.

Did Falke's Captive inspire you to do anything?

Yes, looked up another story to be sure I noted this reader's name to add to the DO NOT BUY list.

Any additional comments?

Erotica needs a good voice for bother female and male. So many of the readers are just so poor. Isabelle Gordon is fantastic, boy, if you could re record these 2 books w/ Ms Gordon then Audible would have winners.

Steamy!

Wow! Usually books that are this steamy don't have a very good story line. This one, however, has a very nice plot with interesting supporting characters. I was pleasantly surprised and will be getting other books in the series and maybe even listening to this one again.

Very good story! Narration just OK.

So this is the second book of the series, both were really good. I enjoyed the storyline and development of the characters. The narration was OK, however I totally could hear her doing children's books, erotic novels not so much. Not that she was bad at all, but the way that she spoke was more placed for child storytelling. However, the whole emotion in the story was completely lost because of this. Also, I had to listen to this at 1.40x speed at get to normal talking speed.

Really good Shifter Romance

I liked this book very much. I had a bit of trouble getting in to the first book of the series but after listening to this one I think the issue may have been the narrator. With this book (with a new narrator) I was totally able to get in to the story and enjoyed it a lot. I liked Beth and thought she came through in the end proving herself a good mate for Kelan and Reidar. I liked that Kelan and Reidar were willing to do what was needed to keep their family safe but still did what was needed to keep Beth as well (even over family pressure to drop her). The story had a good plot and some action at the end. Overall I'd give it 2 thumbs up (wish we could do partial stars...I'd have given this one 4.5 stars). Definitely worth the credit.

Bit predictable, but hot!

It didn't have the same passion as book one, this girl was a scientist so she took it SO much better, but still the passion was there. Still, interesting world!

Kelan and Reidar

This continues the story of a family of shifters. The Falke siblings are a set of quadruplets Axel and Gunnar (who where in the first book Falke's Peak), Kelan and Reidar and then a set of triplets Sindre, Torsten, and sister Heidi.

This book is Kelan and Reider's story. Kelan is struggling with wanting to make some changes to the business dynamics the Falke's have which causes some strife between him and the Alpha brother Axel.

Kelan and Reidar are out drinking one night and see Beth Coldwell who is in town to track and tag big cats in the wild (something she doesnt tell them of course) She just mentions that she is graduate student in town doing some research studies. Both Kelan and Reidar are attracted to Beth and Reidar has the feeling she is there mate but Kelan isnt ready to start thinking about settling down with a mate like his older brothers have.

After an argument with Axel, Kelan decides to change into puma form and run to blow off some steam.. Well this gets him shot in the butt with a trank gun by Beth and he wakes up in a cage.. Some of the best comedic moments in this series come from the "thinking" of the Faulke that is in cat form. Kelan does manage to escape but not before Beth managed to get a blood sample which the family cant let be revealed.

There was some suspense over this especially from her boss who seemed to have more of a motive for wanting to find shifters.

With Beth's profession the romance was a little more strained and Kelan didnt really want to believe that she was there mate.

Overall a good 2nd book in the series. I am really curious about how the sisters romance is going to play out. I am sure the next book with be Sindre and Torsten but its going to be interesting to see who Heidi's mate or mates are..

Hot puma shifter action

I liked this book better than the first! It's still fluff, but this fluff has a better story and great humor to go along with it. Even the suspense was properly thought out.

Beth is a scientist studying cougars during summer break and she just happens to come to a town with catamount shifters. Even though this poses a problem for the brothers Falke, the two middle brothers, youngest of quads, take an interest in Beth and have their wicked way with her... lite-BDSM style.
