About this listen
Dinner is served....
Edward Lee and John Pelan have cooked up yet another tasty treat. They will whet your appetite with a delectable trip to the Pacific Northwest in search of the rare Crackjaw Eel. This romp through the woods is flavored with inbred rednecks, sauced with generous helpings of sex, and topped with an ending thats sure to have food critics raving the world over. Only those with strong stomachs and a taste for heavy spice should attempt this meal.
In Family Tradition, Lee and Pelan show that there are far more terrible things lurking in the rain forests of the Pacific Northwest than amphetamine-crazed rednecks. Secrets man was not meant to sample.
Indulge yourself and enjoy the sumptuous haute cuisine served up by these two masters of guerilla gastronomic outrage. Not only will you think twice before visiting the woods again, you just might never look at food in quite the same way.
From the duo that brought you Goon, Shifters, and the cult favorite Splatterspunk, Family Tradition is a feast of the senses that is best devoured before it devours you.
Enjoy the grub!

Story
Plagued by nightmares of torture and intense violence, a writer suffering from trauma-induced memory loss seeks to solve the mystery of his missing past. The only clue is a single page of an unfinished manuscript found in an old manual typewriter, in a fleabag motel, in a small West Virginian town called Luntville. It is here that the writer will seek answers, believing that if he finishes the book he was writing, his memories will return.

Story
Welcome to Haver-Towne. The sedate colonial resort is the perfect place where Stew Fanshawe can get away from it all for a while. But instead finding tranquility and self-reflection, Stew finds something much more unique: a town that was once steeped in a quagmire of witchcraft, satanic debauchery, and centuries-old occult science. Indeed, Haver-Towne has a most colorful history: A warlock who sires children with his own daughter. A witch whose sheer diabolism staggers even the most demented. And a 300-year-old mansion in whose walls are embalmed the infernal secret of...Witch-Water.

Family Tradition - Highly Recommended
This is an Edward Lee and John Pelan backwoods eldritch horror story with all the gore, sex, and explicit details typical in their works. I only wish the ending could have been held off for a while longer to more fully explore the peculiar nature of the horrors being faced.

I’m ashamed
I should have shut this off at the 1 hour mark but I didn’t. Then I should have shut it off after 2 hours and again at 3 but noooo I just had to see what was going to happen. I am deeply ashamed that listened to this. Beware it’s pretty disturbing even for this genre. Or maybe I’m just a wimp.
