Publisher's summary

He came to Vegas for business. He didn’t know he was going to add in pleasure, too.

I never thought I'd have to rescue Mia from the wrath of her creepy boss. Even worse, Maximo is also my new business partner.

Mia's way too gorgeous and smart to be working in a bar for minimum wage, especially when she wants more and deserves better.

And once I’ve had her curves in the palms of my hands, I can't help but crave more.

She's got something I thirst for, and for once it's not bourbon.

It's time to get drunk on love! The Cocktail Girls is a shared world between 14 of your favorite romance authors! Each novella is a stand-alone story set in the city of sin.

Fun and Flirty!

Roxy Sinclaire has added a great story to The Cocktail Girls series. I love how different authors have come together to write these fun stories. His Long Island Iced Tea is original and has great steam and two awesome lead characters. Mia and Alex have instant chemistry. Alex is new to Las Vegas and business partner Maximo. The Little Black Dress is where most of the story takes place. I loved how Alex saw more than a pretty face in Mia, and helped her gain the first step towards her dream job. Maximo on the other hand, came across as a despicable character. Anna Carlysle did a good performance with this book, giving distinguishable voices to the various characters. I love the writing style of Roxy Sinclaire and have both read and listened to many of her books and will continue to do so.

A quick listen

A businessman looking to get a return on his investment from his new bar, Alex delves deep into the books to find Mia's boss and his new partner, Maximo crookeder than the letter S! Alex begins to fix things, and while at it, sets Mia up in a better job and his bed. Little did he know how good Las Vegas was going to be to him! This short is fun and flirty. These two are great together, showing how background difference are not important, but love is.I love Mia, she is smart and independent, and with Alex, she holds her own. Alex has that protective side that is warm, but I love his business side, tough but fair and thinks highly of his employees. I am enjoying this collection as the audios come out and with Vegas as the venue, we know it's got to good. Anna Carlysle gives a performance with great pace and good voices. I thought her male voices were exceptionally good and found her to be a talent to watch for.

The story is okay, but the narrator just wasn’t a good fit

It’s quick and fast paced, the story is predictable but enjoyable. Unfortunately the narrator just doesn’t do it for me. Her male voices are terrible, and with a dual POV story, having half the plot told in a bad imitation of a man’s voice pulled me out of the story every time it switched and it just ruined it for me. I’ll probably try more from the author, but not the narrator.
