Publisher's summary

Kind, insistent, and refusing to go away, Granger Barnett is one of the most gorgeous men I’ve ever met. I imagine every woman in Rockhead Point wants a taste of the mountain man. Except me.

When my RV breaks down, he shows up like the good Samaritan ready to save me, only I’m not looking for a hero. But it turns out no isn’t a word Granger hears that often, especially not from the woman he thinks is meant to be his.

He says it’s fate, I’m confident he’s got the wrong girl.

Only apparently the Barnett brothers know how to get their own way. So now I’m staying at his house, and he’s talked me into giving him the weekend to convince me I’m his.

But while I’m planning my great escape, I realize he doesn’t just want the weekend, he wants to keep me forever.

Kept by the Mountain Man

This is the third book in the Montana Mountain Men series. Just when I thought the mountain men could get more Alpha and Possessive; Granger prober me wrong. This was pretty much a instant love/ love at first sight. I love how much Granger loves. Arlene Seberg and Duncan Cole did a great job narrating.

Granger's my kind of mountain man

Granger and Alice found each other when they needed each other the most. I loved their story. maybe adding a little suspense would have made it a little better but I still loved it. Loved the dual narration to go along with the dual POV

3.75 He’s My Antidote STARS

Having read the first book I knew that the hero would be single minded in his need to have the heroine. I wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly. It’s insta-love for him for sure and it does take the heroine a little longer. She has very low self esteem, so low that at times I wanted to shake her. Granger was perfect! He needed her to need him and they compliment each other so well. My favorite parts were when the brothers were hanging out with their girls. I do have to say I really liked it when Alice finally allowed herself to have fun and be free at the end. I wish we got more of her like that.

Narration was great!

Instalove

The fmc was annoying. Narration for her was fine, she was just tragically repetitive about how unlikeable she thinks she is and blah blah blah. Always love a possessive alpha mmc though and Duncan Cole nailed it.

love it

This is Granger and Alice story. Granger is the ultimate alpha just like his brothers. Alice is the woman in distress on the side of the road in a broken down RV. His immediate attraction is to help her and take her home.
Alice is sweet and caring, not wanting to get hurt, she tries not to get close to people..Granger has other ideas.
Arlene Seberg and Duncan Cole narration is very good. I enjoyed lIstening to this story.

I like Gemma Weir books

I didn't care for female narrator . She sounded like older woman and narration seemed to just drag on at times.

Mountain Man Romance

Kept by the Mountain Man by Gemma Weir is a mountain man romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Arlene Seberg and Duncan Cole. This is the third book in the Montana Mountain Men series and can be read as a standalone.

The book comes with a warning "This book contains an over the top, jealous, unreasonable, possessive a$$hole. If you consider unapologetic alphaholes unacceptable, or feel their behavior is in some way abusive, then this isn't the book for you."

This is the third book of Gemma's that I have read it won't be my last. The relationship between Granger and Alice is messy but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Claimed by the Mountain Man to be released on audio so I can get Penn and Lulu story.

Duncan and Arelene did an amazing job on the narration. Their voices were perfect for the characters. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mountain man romances, age gap romances, or if you love Alphaholes!

4 stars!

this alpha possessive hero may not be for all readers/listeners but i liked him. He meets the woman of his dreams when she has car trouble. She's just driving through town when her van stops working and delays her trip across country. When this mountain man makes himself and his intentions known she feels like she may have met a crazy man with crazy ideals of love because he claims to have strong feelings for her when they have only just met and when she meets his family it seems like she's entered into a cult. However, the physical attraction is there and he's bound to be good in bed so she gives in temporarily but she may underestimated how much he may grow to mean to her and that maybe he and his family and the town are not so crazy to believe in love. The narrators were good, the woman narrator did a good job in making me feel like no one else would have been a better voice for the fmc.

Loved

These hot and possessive mountain men are definitely worth the read especially if you love a good possessive alpha man! Each book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading from book 1 just to get all the yumminess that are these guys!

this is the best book I ever read. the main character is so relatable. she has anxiety and self esteem issues (which most of us have). I can listen to this book again and again.
