Publisher's summary

Micah "Pup" Slayde knows he wants Tackett Austin the moment he lays eyes on him in the Guards of Folsom. Micah wants to have purpose, to be taken care of, and to take care of his Dom - wants to trust him completely, live for him, belong to him. To become his everything. Micah is sure Tackett is the one. The problem is, in order to be the perfect sub, he needs to stay focused, and that's not easy for Micah, who suffers from what he refers to as a "broken brain." Focus and adult attention deficit disorder rarely coexist.

Ever since Ty Callahan and Blake Henderson's collaring ceremony, Tackett's been thinking too much about his own loneliness. Even though Ty introduces Micah and urges Tackett to give him a try, Tackett isn't so easily convinced. He's spent his life pursuing a successful business career, and the subs he dominates almost never enjoy the kiss of his leather twice. Twenty years Micah's senior, Tackett has no interest in taking on and taming such a young and naughty sub-but it's difficult to resist such an adorable pup when he begs.

Great story needs better actor

I love SJP Peterson book and story of finding love . The narrator could have been better because all of the character voices sounded the same. The GoF is really an assemble cast records not a single person. I hope the next narrator is better than this person.

Great start to a new series

So we have the story of Tackett who is feeling kind of old and lonely and not sure what he wants out of life. He is a well respected Dom who has never had a sub of his own. When his friends pushes him into the path of Micah who is a sub trying to find a Dom that will help him with his focus issues and will take care of him and love him, He doesn't think that Micah is for him. Tackett is quit a bit older than Micah and doesn't think he truly knows what he wants. So they agree to a two week trial and though there are a few bumps along the way, they come to learn that they are made for each other. I have read the entire series & absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this book to everyone who likes a sweet story of finding love. The BDSM is rather on the tame side, I like my reads much harder, so don't let that scare you away, give it a try.
