This book has everything that makes a great story. The feels, I’m an emotional mess after listening to it. Faith and Cade what they’ve been through in Iraq and finding in each other in the states. Saving those two beautiful children from the horrible home life. Dealing with loss, grieve, how to heal, move forward and eventually finding love. This book is memorable and so happy I listened to it.

I have listened hundreds of romance books and this is one of my favourites of all time. Maybe even the best.

This book had everything I wanted. Brooding and dark sexy soldier (those are my weakness) who eventually realizes that life can be beautiful after everything he has been trough, loving and witty heroine with a heart of gold and many other characters that added to the story. On top of the great sex scenes and love, there was an actual plot that I enjoyed. There was, however, one part that I did not liked and that was when the couple saw each other again. It felt like just too big of a coincidence to be believable. That aside, I really loved this book.

This was a quite dark at times but in my opinnion that was needed to make it believable. It explained why the hero was not able to love and why he was so angry. This was not too dark though, just enough. I do not enjoy that much when the whole book is depressing and sad all the time like pure dark romance. This had humour, darkness, happiness, action, and emotional scenes all in one. Everything blended so beautifully.

I hate when a book sometimes fails to deliver exactly why the couple is falling in love, what it is that is so great and lovable about her/him? This, however, did not fail. I understood clearly why the couple fell in love. They needed each other and it did not feel forced at all.

I really enjoyed the narrators also. Teddy Hamilton is my favourite of all time and Callie Dalton did a very good job as a Faith and I found her male voices great.

I would recommend 5/5. I will definitely check out more K.C Lynn's books!

Everything I want in a book

You can't go wrong with Teddy - say "baby" just one more time - Hamilton and while I cringe when Callie Dalton does a sob voice, her over all narration is so very good. It wasn't only the narrators that made this an entertaining experience, it was the mix of very dark and disturbing with charming and amusing. Of the four books, this one was my favorite.

Wonderful Book 📖 & the struggles of relationships and the drama 💔 of unexpected families & longing to be accepted in spite of our pasts. Author & Narrator's were spectacular 🎉

fantastic series

It seems like the author was trying to straddle a line. She needed to make up her mind between sweet and clean or erotic romance. That line between obligatory perceived good girl christian behavior or adult erotic and romantic steamy love didn't work. It made the story convoluted. One or the other! The concept was good and the emotional struggles and triggers were realistic. The narration was great. Personally, I'd be inclined to pass this author by and choose someone else's work next listen.
