Publisher's summary

After serving in the Rifles regiment of the British Army, I focused my civilian career on becoming a bodyguard to the rich and famous. I never imagined a twist of fate landing me a position in the United States Secret Service and protecting the President's son. But then, my boss made an unexpected request: leave my current placement to move in with his only daughter. I'd never lived with a woman who was off-limits to me. The longer we're in such close quarters together, the greater the temptation grows, but I know I'll lose everything if I pursue her.

Growing up as the only girl with two overbearing older brothers, I'm no stranger to being overprotected. Just as I finished up college and prepared to truly dip my toes into the adult world, my father was elected President of the United States, which added a whole new level of protection with the Secret Service team attached to me. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly be more smothered, I began receiving threats, and my family decided it wasn't enough to just have an agent living down the hall from me. Nope, I was to have one move in with me.

While most women would enjoy living with a sexy, buff Brit, having a roommate threw a wrench into all my plans. Especially when I began noticing Ty was so much more than a hot guy - he was someone I could fall for.

A Slow Burn

Such a sweet slow developing romance where readers can enjoy a couple growing together. This final book in the series gave a perfect ending. And as with all books in the series, the narrators were able to bring the story to life.

LOVED THIS SERIES!

Katie Ashley Rocks! I love everything I’ve read from her so far…and the characters in this series did not disappoint. I found myself smiling and grinning like a crazy person while listening, all by myself. The MFCs were never too over-the-top neurotic, as so very many are in a lot of these contemporary romance books. I mean…why must they go on and on ad nauseam with the mental whining, hand-wringing, and self-flagellation?! But I digress…because this “mate” series should not cause too many ticks…truly. The stories gave me the warm-and-fuzzies, for the most part. Oh…and…ahem…they’re a bit spicy…so, if you’ve never read Katey…and you secretly consider yourself a prude, this mayn’t be your cup-a-tea! Otherwise, ENJOY!

Thanks, Katie…write more books, please!🙏🏽 Cheers!

A little predictable but still good

The storyline was steady, plot a little predictable. The characters were pretty good but the plot of the assassination was kinda OK

Great book

This was such a fun listen! It had humor, romance and some suspense which made it the perfect combination. Great performance by both the male and female narrators as well.
