Publisher's summary

Rush: Montgomery Men Series, Book 1

I was running from my husband, a man I thought I’d known.

Running from the hell he had put me through.

He’d nearly destroyed the woman I had once been and

I would do whatever it took to regain my freedom.

I would lie, and cheat.

I would steal if it meant that I never had to go back there.

I’d run and keep running....

But there was one problem. I hadn’t planned for Ashton Montgomery.

He was a distraction I couldn’t allow. Not if I wanted to stay safe. I had to remain

distant, but he was relentless and had other ideas.

I caved because I hadn’t thought it all through, not in detail.

If I had I would’ve realized that you can only live in a fantasy world for so long before everything came crashing in around you.

And those lives you’ve destroyed along the way, make you no better than the monster you were trying to break free from.

How could I have been so careless?

It wasn’t meant to turn out this way.

But the rush of my freedom took control and I forgot how important it was to keep the secret of who I had once been.

And now I had nothing.

Only the fear that the man I’d run from would find me again, and finish what he started.

Starting Over!!!

I really enjoyed this book!! Sarah Puckett did amazing on the narration.
The h in this story came from an extremely abusive relationship and had to run to stay alive. I loved how we got to watch her grow and come back into herself.
The H is self made and has moments of extreme alphaness!! I lovec the way he decided to support and protect her.
This was a good love story with some great sexy times!!

Enjoyable listen

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. Damsel in distress/woman on the run stories are very much my catnip so I was excited to read this. The story and writing kept me interested from the beginning. I loved seeing Kinsley come back to life after the ordeal she had been through, where all her power had been taken from her. She was sassy. Watching Ashton fall was great--it's always fun to watch a sexy bachelor meet his match. My only complaint would be the ending--I think I expected a little bit more. Sarah Puckett did an excellent job with the narration. Overall, it was a really good story and I will definitely read this author again.

Escape!

Rush (Montgomery Men Series, Book 1) is a romantic suspense with a affinity to the movie Sleeping With The Enemy. Takes a difficult subject domestic abuse with a writing style plot that has angst driven scenes, hot & passionate moments, and some humour too. Character's are compelling with complex personalities. A perfect balance of intensity and vibes to keep you captivated.

Sarah Puckett performance was impeccable and flawlessly done as usual. She is able to capture the right sentiments at the right places. Her pace and tone flows through smoothly. She has gain mastery in female and male voices with distinct tones.

Kinsley personified

I love audiobooks because they give life to a story. I used to solely a reader but I've found that it's fun to listen to the audiobooks of books I've already had the pleasure of reading. Rush is one of those books I wanted to "revisit".

I found it's almost like taking the adventure for the first time. while it's been years since I read the book, I still remembered the story. I found it refreshing though to listen to it through Sarah Puckett's narration of Kinsley and Ash's thoughts/words.

Rush is brought to life through the narration and given a new breath to my version of Kinsley and even gave Ash his own "voice". Whether you've read Rush before or not, I expect you will fall just as hard for Kins and Ash as I did.

RUSH

I enjoyed this book! Kinzlee was a strong lead (an abuse survivor) while Ashton was a man who knew what he wanted from day one and wouldn't take no for an answer. The two have an instant chemistry, and the story revolves around the two learning to trust each other while falling in love. The narration is excellent, and really adds to the feel of the story. Yes!!!

A new to me author and I loved it, this is book one in a series but it can be read as a standalone, it’s HEA!

Very good storyline and characters that’s developed in to great personalities with flaws and all.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues that helps the story moving forward.
The passion and intensity in the writing style is making the story come alive.

Narrator:
Always safe to listen to Sarah Puckett, a comfortable voice with clear pronunciation. She reads with passion and she’s one of the few female narrators that masters the male voice very well.

If you like a intense romance with passion and heat and a good narrator I recommend this one.

A Great New Series

I was excited and fearful of listening to this story. If done well, like Sleeping with the Enemy, then I would love it. However, if not done well then it would be disastrous. Fortunately, CA Harms knows how to write! This was very well written and I got lost in it from the beginning. There's adventure, romance, and enough underlying suspense to keep you constantly wondering what was going to happen next. The narration was done well. I would have liked a little more difference between male and female voices but I also had no problems knowing which MC was speaking. I will say Sarah Puckett did bring the story to life. She put the proper emotion when it was called for and read at a nice pace. Overall, a very entertaining listen that I will recommend to my friends.
