About this listen
Grace Murphy, Anna James, and Rachel Givens aka Rae Simmons live in the fictional town of Posey, Minnesota. They call themselves the Three Graces, because their first names mean just that. Grace Murphy is the local psychic medium who saved herself for her soul mates, bisexual American Indian musician Nico White and Latino veteran J.T. Santiago. Grace is submissive, Nico is a switch, and J.T. is the dominant in their MMF BDSM ménage. Before they met, J.T. had never been with a man. He'd never been serious enough about a woman to consider marriage. But Grace and Nico came as a package deal, and he's fallen in love with them both. When morning sickness hits the house, both men bend their knees and plans are made for a very special honeymoon. They're giving Grace the capture fantasy of her dreams at Replay, a BDSM theme resort where patrons play in the past....

I wasn't in the market for a man. I definitely wasn't looking for a man like Clay Nichols, with a dirty mind and a mouth to match. But then he walked into my life one night, and he was everything I wanted. He's also exactly what I can't have. Because there's a price tag on my head. I'm a wanted woman, and I owe debts that were never mine. The dangerous men I owe have threatened to hurt anyone in my life if I don't pay up. So I work off my debts by playing cards in an underground poker ring. One so risky I shouldn't get involved with a soul.

I want to try a full length novel from Nia Farrell
This audio listen is book 6 of a series; I have not read any of the previous books in the series. I prefer full length novels where I can immerse myself in its world for many hours. However this short story (2 1/2 hours) did a good job of including background information leading up to the story. It included more depth than I might have expected from a short story.
Although most erotic romances tell the story leading up to commitment or marriage, this story centers on the discovery of pregnancy, the wedding, and the honeymoon to follow. The action is mostly told from the masculine viewpoint of the male dominant. There is depth to the story as well as hot sex.
This is a BDSM mmf menage story. I enjoy reading in this fantasy world. It would be great to explore more of the mmf interaction and more of the BDSM resort, “Replay.” I want to try a full length novel from Nia Farrell.
The narration was well done. The lovely deep male voice adds to the hot sexuality of the story.
I received this audio book free from the narrator for an honest review. Thank you.

Any additional comments?
Something Special by Nia Farrell was a pretty good read. Grace, Nico and J.T. Find themselves in a different sort of relationship. This was a read that may open people's eyes to a different kind of life.

Pushed my comfort level
Nia Farrell is a new author to me, whereas La Petite Mort's voice melts me. Ruby Rivers also did a good job with this book. This book pushed my comfort level in listening, but the narration was so well done I kept going. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator and or publisher.

Spicy, hot romance!
First, I have to say, though I read the synopsis, I was not prepared for the depth of the story. I figured this will be a quick listen, lots of sex and be over. Not the case. While the book definitely is HOT, there is an underlying story of love and discovery. The book is part of a series, but definitely can be followed as a stand alone story. Grace, Nico and JT are all in a relationship together. JT met Grace and Nico as a couple and the three were just meant to be. Grace being a psychic knew this. I loved the story line of how JT evolved from his military days, dealing with PTSD and falls in love with both Nico and Grace. His previous way of life never included permanency and marriage, let alone a 3 way marriage. Never having been with a man prior to Nico, this was all new to him. The three personalities together were well melded and the book was very good.
As always, the team of La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers define this book. Their portrayal in dual narration really brings you into the life of the characters and makes you feel every emotion and every touch. Love their performances.

Not Scarlett O'Hara's Romance
If you could sum up Something Special in three words, what would they be?
Amazing, mind-blowing, and body-stimulating!
What did you like best about this story?
So many things! I learned so much from Nia. She writes amazing "love scenes" (these scenes deserve a special name! lol) The narrators took my breath away. I literally lost my breath. I am not kidding.
Which scene was your favorite?
The wedding was beautiful.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Beyond Fifty Shades of Grey!
Any additional comments?
OMG. This audiobook touched places I did not know I had. That male narrator. So hot. A voice that makes this Southern belle blush. I do declare. ;)

Not your typical BDSM book 🔥
This book really surprised me.
I've listened to my fare share of BDSM erotica most short stories like this are just about the sexy times.
This one however is about a manage couple building a family life together.
I personally found the concept unique and refreshing.
Even though the book is not all about sex, I don't want to downplay it because it was off the charts HOT.
Nia Farrell is talented at writing creative intimate scenes.
This is book 6 in the series.
I have not read any of the other books but it wasn't hard to keep up.
Unfortunately the other books in the series are not available on audible yet.
when they are available I really hope the same narrators do the rest of the series because they did a great job.
I requested this book in exchange for my honest review.
I highly recommend this book and can't wait to hear the rest of them.

GREAT CHARACTERS, BUT MISS ENTIRE SERIES ON AUDIO
Any additional comments?
I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.
Great short listen into the lives of three people in a MMF relationship. Brilliantly written, given more depth than expected and very likable characters who immediately piqued my interest. Grace, Nico and JT are committed, each being a necessary part of their BDSM relationship. When a marriage contract becomes essential, doubts and insecurities arise.
This is book 6 in a series but it's the only one being offered by Audible. I wish I could have started from the beginning!
Narration was great. La Petite Mort's sexy low voice pairs perfectly with Ruby Rivers, an erotic performance professional.
Thumbs Up!

Mama needs a fan!
What made the experience of listening to Something Special the most enjoyable?
Mama has read lots and lots of books. Nia Farrell turns a wicked pen. Mmmm, child, that woman can write. She picked out the best narrators. After my man fell asleep, I put in the earphones. Lawd, have mercy. That voice.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Something Special?
The scene at the resort. New world for Mama!
Have you listened to any of La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my second listen to these two. Mama wants to meet that La Petite Mort. Make an old woman young again. Oh, honey, honey, honey. He will make your panties drop and your body roll.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Mama got HOT. No other way to put it, child. HOT and bothered. Keep a new set of batteries on hand and your special "friend" close by. Trust me, friends.
Any additional comments?
I need to cool down. Wow.

Grace, Nico and JT
Grace is sick and not knowing what is wrong, Nico and JT take her to the doctor. After testing, they find out she is pregnant. Since they are in a ménage, she cannot marry both men so she will marry JT who is a vet and has good health insurance. JT happens to be the dominant one. They start planning the wedding and one fabulous honeymoon at Replay. This was a very good ménage story. I like how it brought together someone who is American Indian, a Latino, and an Irish person who are all into BDSM. La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers are an outstanding narrating duo. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
