This was my first book in the omega universe. The female lead was a bit much but I stuck it out because I’m not sure how I would’ve acted finding out everything at once. Book went at an extra fast pace felt like I was all over the place.

I downloaded the audiobook version which I think enhanced the story as it has good narration. The story is a short fast paced take on an omega who doesn't know anything about the werewolf world as she has been raised as a human and hidden from the wereworld. Omegas in this version of wereworld are the lowest on the class heirachy and have little to no rights. The story moves quickly and has a few plot holes, but not enough to not enjoy the book. I was driving across several states and wanted a group of audios that would be in the same series so downloaded this book and number 2 in the series. While I won't say they are stellar award-winning writing, I will say they were entertaining and the heat level of the spice was good. Overall, I enjoyed the basic premise of the story and I may grab another book or two later on when I need something to listen too that doesn't take much thought. Again, the narration made the story much better as the narrators added to the characters personalities, but I'm not sure reading the book would be as enjoyable as the books are a bit one-dimensional.

I feel like the book just started to get to the actual good part and then the story jumped. Then epilogue with another jump! The end!
The voice of the female narrator also almost made me stop listening to this audiobook. It was very rough in the beginning. And the fact that even with the voice change between the female and male character, she still had to narrate “he said, she said.”

This was painfully bad. Dont get me wrong I LOVE the genre and subject but it was so poorly written, like a 14 yr old wrote it for class. The FMC 24 yr old virgin with literally the first and only other alphas she’s ever met. (Eye roll). And the sibilance from the female narrator is distracting.

So many plot holes. There is a plot there, but barely. Could not finish it.

This book could have been so much more, but it just fell flat.

The story points are there, but it felt so jerky and stilted. Partially, I think it was due to the female narrator who was just reading the word whereas the male narrator felt more like he was performing the word.

Also, most of the time when they were talking about sex they used clinical terms or vague terms like “down there”, which was just not sexy.

This book was just not for me.

Book was only okay. Short and not a lot of plot. Never read a book where a pack had multiple alphas. Dialog felt like the author was 'trying out' the dirty words, but never went 'all the way' with it. Females voice was definitely not suited for 'almost' erotic scenes. But I am not a quiter, and finished it. Overall, not worth the credit. Sorry 😐

I am sorry I really tried to like it. the add made it sound good so I thought I would give it a try. I can't finish it. is there even a plot? I do not think the voices go good with the book. I'm not saying they are bad but they didn't fit the book. I am really sorry.
