About this listen
Part speculative fiction, part horror novel, part hardboiled mystery, James Goodridge presents the stunning and unusual chronicles of detective duo Madison Cavendish and Sue SunMountain. It's Nick and Nora meets good old fashioned monsters in these strange mysteries that could only be solved by detectives from another realm. Goodridge adds Black history throughout the 20th century to each spine-tingling tale. These stories have depth and real fear inside them as Goodridge shows us the other side of night.
JAMES GOODRIDGE was born and raised in the Bronx and now resides in the Yorkville section of Manhattan. He began writing speculative fiction in 2009. After ten years as a visual artist representative and paralegal, James decided in 2013 to make a better commitment to writing. James has since written a collection of Twilight Zone-themed stories entitled The Artwork (I to V). He's also contributed to numerous anthologies including two volumes of Scierogenous : An Anthology of Erotic Science Fiction and Fantasy (2017, 2018), Sweet, Sexy and Special Dark: Blerdrotica Book 1 (2020), and Funny as a Heart Attack (2021). Goodridge is a member of the Black Science Fiction Society and oversees the popular Facebook group, Who Gives You the Write.
