The picture is of me with our “little” 9-year old dog, Hope. I am an avid dog lover.
Reading and studying the history of the great empires of the world since the dawn of time is one of my interests and also studying Bible prophecy. I also have been teaching/studying the Bible for 40 plus years. During this time, God has brought me scores of men to mentor to help them overcome the trials and tests every man faces in life.
Our men’s group at church went searching for a simple workbook we could use as a self-teaching guide to raise up more mentors. We did not find one that met our criteria, so I exited my normal writing genre to write my first men’s book, Mentoring Men: One-to-One. The need to write this book was clear because of my studies of end time prophecies that reveal Satan’s attacks are dramatically increasing near the end of the age.
After the first of many trips to Israel in 1984, I began studying Jewish history in depth. Next, I started studying the ancient Jewish customs, language, and idioms used in the days of Jesus. I was shocked by the amount of knowledge I gained that was not taught to me in Bible college and seminary. The current war with Hamas and the nations surrounding Israel are a harbinger of even more dramatic events preceding the Rapture of the Church.
While doing my research to write the End of World series, I was amazed to see the massive numbers of people dwelling in fear of the many different apocalyptic theories that can end the world and humanity. My discoveries prompted me to write How and When the World Ends, the first book of the six book End of World series. The series sales have exceeded my expectations and three of the six books have become best sellers. The last book in this series, The Realignment of Nations for Armageddon: A New World Order Arises - Hamas, Iran, Russia, China - Israel, set initial sales records.
The U.S.A. in End Time Bible Prophecy has also become a best-selling series. The three books describe timely events destined to change America’s future. The next volume is in work presently.
Our dog Hope won the “doggy lottery” for masters because she is at peace with my wife and me. She trusts her life to us for everything – shelter, food, water, and grooming. She responds by being the most loving dog anyone could desire. We respond by loving and caring for her every need. This sounds like the kind of relationship God wants with each of us in the precarious times we live in!
