Fred Colby has served as a director, board member and consultant for nonprofit organizations in California and Colorado. After his wife, Theresa, died in 2015 Fred shifted his focus to writing and leadership roles to help fellow widowers heal and re-engage with life. He co-founded the Pathways Hospice Men’s Grief Group and an online grief group. Fred was inspired to write Widower to Widower because of the lack of good information to help him through his own grief. His therapist and fellow widowers encouraged him to put his own experience, research, and lessons learned from fellow widowers into a book to help others. His writing experience in the nonprofit and political world, including newsletters, articles, editorials, plans, and grant applications prepared Fred to write Widower to Widower. He hopes it will help many other widowers to better survive this life altering experience. He resides in Ft. Collins, Colorado. For more information go to: www.fredcolby.com
