Rochelle is a queer, cisgender, biracial Egyptian/white woman, mother, sister, partner, global wanderer, and lover of the natural world. She is a first-generation college graduate and daughter of an immigrant. She is a mindfulness and yoga enthusiast, student of cultural somatics, and a writer. She works to create space for accountability, healing, and reconciliation. Rochelle is an Instructional Designer for The Winters Group, Inc. and is the Founder of Holistic Workplace Inclusion (HWI), a DEIJ firm. Early in her career, she was a community organizer and educator fighting for environmental justice and empowering students to use their voice to shift power and enact change. Rochelle is a global adventure seeker, having lived in South Korea teaching English, and traveled throughout India, Mozambique, Italy, parts of Latin America, and the Middle East. A graduate of Azusa Pacific University, Rochelle holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and is a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®). She is also a YWCA Racial Justice Facilitator. She lives in South Minneapolis, on Dakhóta Land, with her partner and two daughters. Rochelle’s vision for this work: Together, we weave a complex, stunningly colorful tapestry of lives that are interdependent, truly liberated, and free to express the full humanity of ourselves. It looks as vast as the galaxy and sounds like the rhythm of a drum circle on a hot summer day. It is imperfect and oftentimes messy. It requires nurturing. Together, we define the rules of the game. We dismantle power structures that no longer serve the collective. We co-create and rebuild institutions in such a way that value radical candor, community care, and the dismantling of white supremacy, patriarchy, and all other systems of oppression. It feels like a deep, long exhale. Together, we take responsibility for causing harm, we practice humility and grace, and move little by little toward a collective embodiment of generosity, openness, and love. “When you do something from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” – Rumi
