I love Magnolia Falls and its residents and this was the book I have been waiting for since my first visit way back 4 books ago. I needed single dad Nash and his adorable son Beefcake’s story because I knew it was going to take a very special woman to win these guys hearts and that means a very special read. From the moment I picked this book up I was captivated and there was no putting down until the final word was read and even then these characters and their story stayed with me.
Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the emotion, the love and more importantly the camaraderie and banter this group of friends share.
Emerson moves to Magnolia Falls for a fresh start and a six month contract as the town paediatrician is just what she needs. The first patient she meets is Cutler “Beefcake” Heart and his grumpy dad Nash. Well that meeting didn’t go to plan and sparks fly and not in a good way but it’s not long before Emerson makes friends with Beefcake and that means spending time with his hot dad. This couple may have had a rocky start but there is no doubting the attraction they have for each other and it’s not long before they navigate the twists and turns put in their way. The characters are easy to fall for, the story is well written and the text messages had me giggling and left me smiling. If you love small town romance and single dads are your jam look no further than Beating Heart ( Magnolia Falls #4). This series has got better with each release and once again Laura Pavlov has shown us why she is the queen of small town romances. Can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful series.
