Crow and the cravens…or were they just ravens…planet Rook…I am surprised no one was sent for a cup of water, but I found a shiny gum wrapper for you.

Spice level: jalapeño popper
Performance: she’s ok, it might just be that these are trash novels
Story: like I said trash, but here is bottle cap and three sequins.

This is book 3 Savage Warriors series by Jude Gray the story is about a human female, who had been captured and sold into slavery to non-human aliens. Then she’s been freed and living in a colony until she can be returned home to earth.. She sees a shifter that’s being held as a slave and tormented to entertain non-human aliens with his talented singing. Unable to stand by and see him suffering she decides to free him. This is probably my least favorite of the series so far but it’s still a good book.

A lightspeed, nonsensical story. She busts him out of a slave cage, they flee, and when her friends catch up with them they tell her there are no consequences because …?

On the same day they meet: she is Team Crow, agrees to travel to his planet and be his forever.
And her friends are like, sure, we’ll fly you over there and abandon you for a year (and we’ll pretend space travel happens like snapping one’s fingers).

Even with translators, he says less than ten sentences to her for the entire novella… but they do have an exchange where he’s confused as to why she’d be upset when he mentions other women…

I thought they were living on a prehistoric world … until she mentions the task of fixing cabins
and supply vehicles.

I was just so confused. Oh, and there’s sex.

What in the zagnut?!
