Tattoo artist Raven Smith is blunt and hard, broken and jaded, dark and beautiful. While she doesn't hide her painful past, she does keep a wall around her heart. She's free, sexually - but no one gets to the real Raven beneath the prickly exterior.
With a voice like smoke, Jonah Warner is a smooth-talking, highly successful attorney, with a body that should never be hidden by a suit. He's the kind of man who never takes no for an answer and always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Raven. She's a survivor, and he finds that incredibly alluring.
Jonah gets under her skin in a way Raven has never experienced. He makes her break all her rules - including her no-monogamy rule.
But when a figure from Raven's past shows up at the tattoo parlor and drops a bomb into her life, their relationship will face the ultimate challenge.

She needs a strong man to understand her ways - in walks Jonah a handsome, rich, successful, Alpha male and a great father who's instantly drawn to Raven and soon the sexual chemistry between them starts to sizzle and this leads to passion and hot sex as he likes to be dominant in the bedroom. But before long he wants far more than just sex from Raven but he has to be patient, understanding, and take things slowly because he may just scare her off. Slowly Raven cautiously lowers her barriers then eventually they come down and this allows trust to develop between the lovers. Then, when her past comes to haunt her, she can slay her demons from her past and her healing can finally start, along with acceptance as to who she is and this, happily, leaves room for love to blossom and grow.
Lauren Dane has written a powerful, emotional, intense, funny, heartwarming, super sexy book which includes characters from the previous books and adds new ones to further entertain us in this riveting powerful love story.
Worth a credit? I have a feeling this is the last in the Brown series but I'm just not really ready to say goodbye to all the characters I've grown to know over time along with all the highs and lows of their lives so I may have to re-visit them again if there isn't a No. 6. Any romance lover, that likes a sexy listen, will find this series creditworthy as I did - so it's a YES from me.
AN EMOTIONAL & POWERFUL LOVE STORY

Would you consider the audio edition of Drawn Together to be better than the print version?
Unfortunately, I only have the audio version so I cannot give a reply to this question. What was one of the most memorable moments of Drawn Together?
There are so many..I loved the time the spent talking when she started his tattoo, but I equally loved that she called him when she went off to find her mother and he dropped everything to go to her. While these two (2) may seem from different worlds, they are so right for each other. What does Lucy Rivers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I feel she brought Raven to life. I visualized her voice sounding just as Ms, Rivers delivered, sultry, sexy, but able to show the vulnerability.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I wouldn't say an extreme reaction, but I think I want a tattoo now. Reading this series is was definitely an eye opener, but Raven's story clinched it for me.Any additional comments?
I loved how this story came together. I loved that we finally revealed Raven's past to explain some of her personality and past behavior. This was definitely worth the wait. I'm going to miss the Brown's and their friends.I love RAVEN...

Raven's story was very touching, especially the reunion with her mother. Jonah's story was very real to me because I used to work for lawyers for years. I felt like I was reading about a family of lawyers I used to know back in those days.
The only thing that bothered me in this book (and in the short story Sway about Levi and Daisy) was the caricature of Mal's wife, Gwen. I know that there are plenty of snooty wives of rich men who would look down upon women like Daisy and Raven, but I thought the way Gwen was just thrown into direct public confrontation with Raven and Daisy was a bit over the top. That dynamic could have been written into both stories in a more subtle, realistic way.
I think Lucy Rivers has improved tremendously as a narrator over this series. In Laid Bare, she was dreadful, but I've noticed steady improvement in her performance throughout this series. I think Drawn Together was her best performance so far.

Raven was fascinating, and I can tell by the other reviews that when I go back and read other Lauren Dane books I won't have the same early (somewhat negative) reaction to her since I'll already know her back story. Although, this tough girl persona is so common in real life that maybe I would have had an inkling. I often meet someone who, when given a second chance, makes me realize that there's an amazing person behind the cool, prickly facade.
We all cope in the way that seems best at the time, and holding people at bay is a common way to avoid pain when we don't know who to trust. It's great to read about a group who can all trust one another; very nice created family when many of us can't turn to the one we were born with. Definitely makes me want to read more Lauren Dane!
The narrator is a little too bland for my preference.
