A great read/listen. I adore the vocal tone used for Christian, omg, rough and dominant just like the character! Really good storyline a bit hard to follow in the beginning but quickly captivates with twists that will have you on the edge of your seat. Character chemistry is off the charts hot. A great sizzling read with a darkness you can't help but love!

Piper Stone has done it again!!!! All the ups and downs and twists and turns!!!! If you enjoy dark mafia romances then this is a MUST listen!!! And Thomas Locklear can bring characters alive like no one's business!!! So these 2 together is awesome!!!

I expected this to be a lot darker than it was! it was not what I expected...it was a tad disappointing!

I really enjoyed the story and the twist and differences we seem to see from every other mafia/cult book. This was fresh and kept your interest. Thomas Locklear is master of single narration! I usually shy away due to the way narrators perform the opposite sex, but It is almost downright disturbing how he can go from deep, smoky dominant all man to completely believable female tones. I actually looked at my screen to confirm this was single narration.

If you like stories filled with danger and suspense, secrets and lies, lots of dirty sex and full of twists and turns, then this is the book for you. This is a fast-paced dark mafia romance with an arranged marriage between Christian and Stephanie. It is intense and kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this book if you love dark romance. Thomas Locklear has a wonderful male and female voice and does a great job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Piper Stone has written a powerful story of betrayal, mafia families that basically rule the country, intrigue, assassinations, arranged marriages, and a plot full of twists and turns. Christian and Stephanie will face many challenges on their road to love and survival in the violent world that they live in. They're both strong and will help each other. There's so much action in the story that you don't have time to get bored. Thomas Locklear is a master storyteller and voice artist. He puts so much emotion and heart and soul into his narration. I forgot that I was listening to a single narrator due his expertise of portraying the female voice. I highly recommend this Audible book if you like dark Mafia romance.

A cult with a higher plan. Enemies or allies around every corner. Greed, power, fall in line or pay the price! Christian is not one to fall in line or go down easily in the face of multiple betrayals and tons of lies. The extent of the lies are mind boggling! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions bringing the characters to life. I've heard a lot of improvement from this narrator.

There is lot of action and suspense in this dark romance that will keep you intrigued throughout! It is well written as well as narrated amazingly.

Female narration and parts were unrealistic and bad whispering for entire story, what was author thinking, it seems rushed, made me want to skip Stephanie's parts, bad bad author should not cheat purchasers, or will lose us for sure!!!
