This was a bit better than the first book although there is a lot of drama. The sister in law is definitely a piece of work. I wish that Joya would give her female leads a bit more backbone, especially ones who have been dealt a few crappy hands. This one didn't have the abrupt ending of the first book and included some real-life family drama that touches the heart. Looking forward to book 3.

This is a great continuation from book 1... writing is a bit better I think than book 1... Totally reads like a diary or a t.v show...
