This book was good but I have to say it was a little rushed and that made it a little hard to get on board with the love story and the characters. I love a second chance romance and this was that for sure. I would have liked more time in between when they decided to try and when they were back together. Other than that, I enjoyed the story line and the secrets were a great emotional twist.

Aaron Shedlock is awesome as always and the reason I bought a book from an author I've never listened to before! Ava Erickson was perfect too! Great casting choice for sure!!

This is a great second chance to love. I loved it! Declan and Holly's story is beautiful. They are great together. Their story goes back and forth from past to present, and we learn more about them and their past together. I love the friendship in this story. Aaron Shedlock and Ava Erickson did an amazing job with the narration. I love their voices together. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. #AudibleEscape

I enjoyed Declan and Holly’s story in The Evolution of Us by D. Kelly. My favorite things about second chance romances are the delicious angst and idea that love is strong enough to overcome almost anything. While Declan a s Holly’s story had that it also get a bit rushed. I wanted a bit more of the evolution of their romance from being apart to making everything work. Despite that the romance had plenty of swoony moments and both MCs were likable and had me rooting for them.

Narration was performed by Aaron Shedlock and Ava Erickson. Honestly, I wanted this audiobook when I saw Aaron’s name. He’s one of my all time favorite narrators and did a wonderful job bringing Declan to life. Ava Erickson is another go-to narrator I love and her narration along with Aaron’s made the audiobook well worth the credit.

i chose this story because I enjoy listening to Aaron. He is one of my favorite readers. His voice is sexy and fits most of his characters he portrays. He never disappoint me. This author was new to me. The story was good but not great. I feel like every circumstance was rushed. It was hard to feel emotions from the hero and heroin. All in all, I would still recommend.

I fell in Love, laughed, cried and couldn’t stop listening until the end of the story. The narrators were two of my favorites. They were prefect for the characters in this book.

The love between the two characters was strong, but a misunderstanding and bad timing kept them apart for two years. Loved Declan’s unwavering commitment to getting Holly back. Sweet, angsty, love story.

I loved the cute and sexy banters! There was some heartbreak, but it made it so much sweeter. Never give up on true love and second chances.

Who doesn't like the idea of a second chance? I think the real question is why did things not work out to begin with, and how have circumstances evolved so it will work now. Holly and Declan have been together forever, since their were 14. Now 25, and apart for 2 years, Declan is pushing Holly to get back together. With secrets and new experiences, these two have hurdles to jump to get to a place where they can be happy. D. Kelly takes us on their journey, through family crises, incredible friendships, college and the start of their adult life. Each step, we see the evolution of their relationship. It is a filled with laughter, lots of banter(especially with Baxter and Sage, they are so much fun) and hope. Characters with depth and personality quickly have you invested in the outcome.

Ava Erickson really emotes the voice of Holly so well, I feel like I know her. She is the girl that has been hurt and just can't hop that hurdle to get over it. She make Holly easy to relate to. Aaron Shedlock brings the point of view of Declan to life with his incredible ability to make you his emotions. While Declan is all man, he wears his heart on his sleeve with his vulnerability apparent and this comes across in Shedlock's performance. These two narrators compliment each other and made my ears happy.
