So even he is shocked when he falls for Sally Mae, a Quaker nurse. Unable to resist Tucker's charm, character and chiseled body, she throws herself into their torrid affair, indulging every one of her wildest sexual fantasies. Tuckerï¿¿ï¿¿s occupation, however, is the one thing about him she can't embrace. A staunch pacifist, Sally Mae can't understand how his strong, caressing hand can clench in fury or pull a trigger to take a life.
In this lawless land, Tucker knows you have to fight to survive. But when Sally Mae becomes pregnant, he's willing to do whatever it takes to have his family - including hanging up his guns.
Every night they spend together exploring new heights of ecstasy binds them ever closer, slowly erasing their differences...until the day Tucker's past comes calling, precipitating an explosive showdown between her faith, his promise, and the need for revenge.

The sex in this book was super hot, but there were elements I'm pretty sure weren't period appropriate (I don't want to give spoilers). It also surprised me that a Quaker woman was that uninhibited, but then I remembered that Quaker isn't the same as Amish or Mennonite. Still probably not super likely, but not as much.
I love how Sally Mae always stuck to her convictions about violence but also was never a doormat. She was generous and kind and gentle, but also loving and strong and firm in her convictions.
Tucker was super protective of Sally Mae and quietly makes sure she's taken care of. At the same time, he makes sure she knows that he values her and believes in her. The way he dealt with prejudice is probably different than what I'll see in Tracker and Shadow, and I'm interested to see how they manage it.
We got to see more of Bella and Sam from Sam's Creed quite a bit in this book, but they didn't detract from Tucker and Sally Mae, and there was more of Tracker (enough to know what's going to happen in the next book) and a little bit of Shadow, too. There was also a peek at Desi and Cain, although not much.
I liked this one a lot, although I think I liked Sam's Creed more.
Very hot with a unique heroine and great hero

If you could sum up Tucker's Claim in three words, what would they be?
ExcitingEntertainingExtraordinaryWho was your favorite character and why?
Tucker and Sally. Who would think a Quaker nurse would fall for a Mixed race wild man. Who hunts killers for a living. But their story is wonderful. What does Lola Holiday bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She draws you into the book and actually makes you see the drama as it unfolds. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What did you like best about Tucker's Claim? What did you like least?
Best: Tucker-a manly guy!Least: The vocabulary and 'values' of Sally Mae
If you’ve listened to books by Sarah McCarty before, how does this one compare?
I have loved 4 of the 5 thus far...the incorrect use of old English (Thee, thou) was annoying - if you can get past that the listening is o.k.What does Lola Holiday bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I enjoyed her performance, she does a great job -especially with the male characters. If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, this would be NC-17 or rated X as there are erotic and mature audience themes. My least favorite in the series

Thee = I, Me
Thou - You, Your
Thy - My
Thine - Mine
So you can understand when she keeps saying thee, meaning thou it is frustrating to anyone who knows old English. Other wise the stories are much like her other ones. I had to agree with Ann in St. Louis, MO. Sarah McCartly should have done her homework.on Quakers.
Good story BUT

The narrator did well enough and if you have any imagination it doesn't really matter because you can make the voices into what you want anyway.
