Zärtlich ist die Nacht (Tender is the Night) ist ein Roman des amerikanischen Schriftstellers F. Scott Fitzgerald, der 1934 veröffentlicht wurde. Der autobiographisch geprägte Roman handelt vom Psychiater Richard, genannt Dick, und seiner vermögenden, psychisch labilen Gattin Nicole Diver, die sich als US-amerikanische Auswanderer an der Südküste Frankreichs mit Strandpartys und Einkaufstouren vergnügen.
