Teaching the value of Mindset and Self Control
Revisado: 04-06-23
"How to Be Your Own Hero" is an inspiring and practical guidebook that can help readers take control of their lives and become the hero of their own story. The book is packed with useful advice and strategies to help readers develop the self-awareness, confidence, and resilience they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
One of the standout features of the audiobook version of "How to Be Your Own Hero" is the narration. The narrator read with the right tone of the book, which was clear and professional. She sounded like a good teacher, delivering the content in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. Her delivery was well-paced, allowing listeners to absorb the information and reflect on it as needed.
Another thing that I appreciated about this book was its focus on personal growth. The author encourages readers to take responsibility for their own lives and to make the changes they need to become the person they want to be. The book covers a wide range of topics, including self-reflection, goal-setting, mindset, and relationships, and provides actionable tips and exercises to help readers put the advice into practice.
Overall, I would highly recommend "How to Be Your Own Hero" to anyone who is looking to take charge of their life and become the hero of their own story. The book is a valuable resource that can help readers develop the skills and mindset they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals, and the audiobook narration makes the experience even more enjoyable and engaging.

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

loved it
Revisado: 01-14-23
I listened to it multiple times. it's not typical for a so-called self help book. It's biographical, and he describes his story not exactly as motivation for the listener either, it's more of a kick in the backside to get moving. I think the author wants his listener to be inspired to find deep inner drive, and ignore doubt and other excuses for not doing whatever it is you really want to do, and just work despite hardships.

Historia
Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills.

Throughout history, a powerful force has hindered the growth of human welfare and happiness. It is more powerful than the Mafia or the military. It has global catastrophic effects and can be found anywhere from the world's most powerful boardrooms to your local bar. It is human stupidity. Carlo M. Cipolla, noted professor of economic history at the UC Berkeley, created this vitally important book in order to detect and neutralize its threat.

Historia
Scott Adams has likely failed at more things than anyone you’ve ever met or anyone you’ve even heard of. So how did he go from hapless office worker and serial failure to the creator of Dilbert, one of the world’s most famous syndicated comic strips, in just a few years? In How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, Adams shares the game plan he’s followed since he was a teen: invite failure in, embrace it, then pick its pocket.

Loved it and I'm not a big fan of Dilbert
Revisado: 03-24-21
if you think you need to be a fan of Dilbert to enjoy this book you don't. By itself it's a great, for lack of better phrase 'self help' book. it's informative, positive, funny when it needs to be, sells you it's ideas, and still invited the reader/listener to think for themselves. it surprised me, and Scott Adams is much more accomplished than I thought.
