Amazing story!

I LOVE this story! The plot is unique, the heroine is a true baddie, and the MMCs are morally grey hotness. I’m a sucker for the psycho love angle, and this has it in spades. The narration couldn’t possibly be any better. Total perfect score, you gotta listen to this!

Dark, depraved, wild and hot

This story is as dark as expected from the author of Haunting Adeline. It’s just as gritty and unorthodox in types intimate scenes. Scorching spice that makes me rethink the use of chopping kitchen instruments outside of cooking applications. There are depictions of assault that are so realistic they’re hard to hear, but it pays homage to the real trauma of a DV situation in ways a shiny gloss just cannot. The female main character is strong, resilient, and intelligent. The whole story speaks to the “why would she (stay, let someone hurt her, go back, etc.)” stereotypical questions most people espouse in a way that is heartbreakingly factual. The voice actors make listening to it all the more real, and while it can be hard to hang in through it all, it is fiercely moving if your heart can take it. Do absolutely CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS before listening to/reading this book. If your trauma contains elements of SA, DV, childhood trauma, or any other forms of abuse, please weigh your emotional health carefully. That being said, as a survivor, I love the way these elements were treated, and would strongly recommend this book in all its glory.

Love This Story!

Possessive alpha males and an intelligent FMC is apparently the magic recipe for me. The story is complex, with spice and tension for days. The gentleman reading is fantastic, and the growly voices are swoon-worthy. Duet style is absolutely the best.

Unique, Dark and Steamy

This book has really unlocked some part of me I never knew existed, the dark places interested in instead of repelled by a criminal overlord stalker. Who knew? The narrators are top of the line, and Lucas Wesley could read me the alphabet and make me feel all the things. Great story and well worth the listen.

Absolutely love it!

A perfect combination of sci-fi, action, and drama. The romance is a building relationship that I’m sure we will see more if in the sequel, but as it stands was more an unseen promise than a real action in this book. Tons of world-building and character development, and I can’t wait for the next book!

Great First in Series

Perfect for lovers of hearts not parts and why choose. It’s fun, funny, deep and heart wrenching in turns. Excellent performances, especially the variety of tones and accents Lucas can make seem natural in voicing all the different men.

Keeps you up at night, in the best possible way

Impact Winter has been my favorite listen of 2022. The plot is absolutely riveting. Once I started, I couldn’t stop listening. The actors are all fantastic, and the sound effects enhance rather than distract from the performance. There’s just the right amount of love story to satisfy every literature lover. I hope there will be a sequel because I’m fully invested in Darcy and Hope.

Love This Book!

This is the perfect compliment to The Bridge Kingdom series. I love dichotomies, and the story of Keris and Zarrah is certainly that. A strong, intelligent, powerful female lead meets her stunningly beautiful, calculating, and sharp-witted mortal enemy, sparks fly, and a forbidden romance ensues. It’s a steamy tale of love, betrayal, and the courage to stand with your convictions.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Holy crap this book is phenomenal. The character growth, world building, and complexity are fantastic, and the voice actors are absolutely amazing. Not your standard alpha male RH. Has my favorite tropes of gentle giant combined with touch her and I’ll burn the world down. Slow burn but more action in book 2. Cannot recommend this enough. Read, listen, re-read, all that. There are some triggers, so read the warnings if you have some, but they are addressed well and with respect, if that makes
sense.
