Wow, this narrator has excellent range. But why do I have to hear him suck in a breath every sentence. Two stars gone automatically. Glad I didn’t buy this book.

Everybody’s emotions is so wishy-washy. It’s annoying. A lot of other things that I have issues with this book but I’m so done with it. I’m not gonna write it. I don’t recommend this book.

Extremely simplistic story

You pretty much guess this entire book after 30 minutes of listening to it. It’s made for preteens that never actually read a fantasy book before. Narration is extremely basic as well. Absolutely nothing exciting about this book.
How many times did you roll your eyes?
Edit: I had the narration at three stars. I’m dropping that down to one. Every male in this book sounds like an old rickety man. She started reading with hitching/pausing after every single word. It’s completely unbearable. I got 11 hours left then I’m done.

Author lost what they were trying to do.

What are you doing with this book series? The first book was excellent and then you just changed It. Now it’s a cheesy lesbian romance book. There’s less story more inner monologue like three times more than the first. Not sure if I’m gonna continue the series.
Garbage way to add word count! What do I mean by that? Narrator says what’s going on in the story. Main character repeats exactly what the narrator said just in her POV. The enemy of the main character says exactly the same scene from their POV. And goes back to the MC and move a story along just a little bit. They move back to the narrator to finish the the scene. To move back to the enemy. See what I’m saying. Less than five minute scene takes 15 to 20 minutes or count garbage. Full of the best stories all of the best authors do not do this. Stop doing it just stop. This is a third of this book.

Stories about 10 hours long
It’s eight hours of stat reading. The long way. what do I mean by that. Example, Instead of saying magic skill increased from level four to level eight. It does magic skill upgraded from level three to Magic skill increase to level four, magic skill increased to level five, magic skill increased to level six, magic skill increasedto level seven. Magic skill increased to level eight.
Every two sentence of the story there’s one sentence of stats.
And then two hours of a random book.

God that stat reading is not how you make a story. I mean, you can’t skip it like other books where they have an entire chapter of just reading what the character stats got to at a particular moment. Because every 2 to 3 minutes, it reads one stat gains.

Authors, this is an example of what not to do. Word count is not everything.

And with that 10 hour “ story “ most of it is just observation of her skills. I got a new skill. I wonder what it does. How can I use this skill? What can I use a skit with? How can I upgrade this skill? I need to practice skill. And that is with every skill she gets.

So if you like a book that has a little story and world building. This is for you. It’s not skip it. I struggled to get to the end. If there’s another book, I’m gonna skip it.

Also, this is the most edited book I listen to.

I can tell why they merged all the books together

Store is all over the place. Every trope,about cultivation is in this book hundred times over. it’s quite annoying. I mean how many times can you say I’m gonna kill you and feed you to a dog. Apparently quite a few times. You dare! You are courting, death! Anyway, it’s only halfway through the book. I’m tired of it.
The story is all over the place. Nobody’s emotions make sense either extremely nice or extremely aggressive nothing in between. Main character always has something to push him through the scene. Everybody calls the guy a stupid kid, but never explain to him anything and then just keep calling him Stupid kid when he gets it wrong. Oh my god that’s poor writing.

Narrators are decent. A bit of overacting but bearable.

There’s 13 hours of this book left. I can’t listen to the rest.

It’s just a training montage book

I’m eight hours in and the only thing happened is training. There is little main story. just a bunch of side Quests. The author throws around different terms for the same Realms. So if you’re not extremely familiar with it, it’s hard to follow along. I never went to Google so many times to stay focused with A book. I must’ve heard what realm somebody is in like 400 times I might be exaggerating, but it doesn’t feel like it. When is the story gonna start? Stop training!

Ronnie is a fantastic narrator. Edit.: he starts laughing in the second book. He needs to work on that.
Tiffany has a lot of work to do. She has one way of speaking and it is gal speak. Slightly annoying. She can change her voice to young middle-aged annd old and that’s it.

Edit: two hours into the second book. It’s really boring. I’m done.

Story is decent

The story is decent. The narration is OK. But once he gets to the characters, I would say it’s less than the B grade acting. It’s terrible. Why is everybody whining? It sounds like hes straining to read the words. I struggled to get through it. not continuing series.

Everything’s just a training montage

Just feels like all these books are training montages. It’s very little story or at least it’s extremely slow. Too many skills! oh my Lord get on with the story. I skipped so much of this book and still didn’t lose anything. First book was great. Second book was OK. Third book I’m not continuing.
