I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Robin's 2 preceding books in the series -- on top of a pleasing series, he hits all the marks for me with the humor, diversity of characters, and movie references -- I wouldn't have it any different! Book 3, he surprised me more than had the floor opened up beneath me and I was dropped into a pit with a Rancor beast -- he took the story and characters in a direction I never expected. He's done a great job of establishing his universe, characters, and overall story ambiance -- and clearly he has the writing skills to create more than most of us can immagine.

3... 2... 1... TAKE OFF!

When I first tried playing The Tiger Temple, it didn't work for me -- I think this had to do where I was at, I needed something that was more on a popcorn-entertainment level, and this story had something too 'busy' for me the time. I recently gave it a second shot and ... WOW!!!
Steven Moore deftly draws his audience in with action and plunges them in to a culture and setting. His detail is perfect, pacing excellent, and his ability to carry multiple simultaneous story lines is spot on. Expect a richly revealed fun-ride when reading an installment of Hiram Kane!

The Plot Thickens!

I can't get enough of Nick Cook's series! In this installment, he changes it up -- adding a whole new dimension with all the same great characters. Somehow I have a feeling he could make this series go on forever and keep it thoroughly engaging. He also has the perfect narrator for the series, adding to my following.

I absolutely enjoy E.Black's creativity, and his ability to make every moment uncomfortable for the reader through the main character. His narrator masterfully brings this out and couldn't be a better fit for these stories. Looking forward to book !

Confused and then In Awe!

I wasn't sure what was going on when I first started listening to this installment of Moon's work. When I realized that the story was being told through 1st-person and experience I dropped right into the story and found myself in awe of the author's ability. Gritty and distinct -- can't wait to get into his next audiobook in my collection!

Very Good .... but out of touch?

Well thought out and well written. Speaks to many important subjects and gives experience-based solutions for aspiring audiobook narrators. There's just one problem... The author addresses the subject based, mostly if not entirely, on being a high-value narrator who mostly or always works in a professional studio with other people serving producer & etc roles. Effectively, this book speaks better to being a voice-over than a modern-day audiobook narrator .... which is surprising given the apparent year of publication. These days most audiobook narrators work from home, with their own purchased and operated gear, producing / engineering / editing the recordings themselves, and typically getting paid less than the author can command. Preparing John or Jane Q Public with the mindset to prepare-for and pursue audiobook narration work in a section of the industry that is extremely competitive, where Nobodys aren't likely to make it in, is at best unrealistic if to say outright wrong. This is not to say that her information is not valuable or usable -- quite the opposite -- only that the reader needs to listen objectively and interpret what she says and how it applies to the work-from-home narrator *AND* seek additional information sources that provide the necessary information (gear to purchase, how to operate, setting-up home recording spaces, personal business management, etc) wholly preparing someone to be a successful work-from-home narrator.

Sci-Fi Fun Ride!

Having now consumed books 1 & 2, these stories have become 'literary friends'. Book 2 gave me another visit with this 'fond friend' -- the diverse characters, the greater story arc, and new concepts and challenges the author wove into the text. I can't start book 3 soon enough!

I have a new Sci-Fi addiction...

This story introduces a reluctant heroine who gets swept up in alien technology that her and a small number of people can access, an evil organization who want to secure and use that technology for their own, all while an alien race is headed toward Earth .... to take over?

The Signal moves like Da Vinci Code with relatable characters and introduces Nick Cook's wonderfully pleasing series. You're going to have a new Sci-Fi addiction!
