Historia
When he’s not vanquishing villainous gods or dodging demons, 2,000-year-old Druid Atticus O’Sullivan can be found behind the counter of Third Eye Books and Herbs in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, literally minding his own business. But when an evil sorcerer - and amateur shoplifter - snatches an ancient Egyptian tome of black magic, The Grimoire of the Lamb, Atticus is not sheepish about pursuing him to the ends of the earth...or at least to the Land of the Pharaohs.

NEEDS HELP!!
Revisado: 10-17-14
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
You definitely needed background information of some kind by reading the first book in the series before this one. But it was a nice, comedy with just Atticus and Oberon.

Historia
Dulcie O’Neil is a fairy. And not the type to frolic in gardens. She’s a Regulator - a law-enforcement agent who monitors the creatures of the Netherworld to keep them from wreaking havoc in the mortal world. When a warlock is murdered and Dulcie was the last person to see him alive, she must uncover the truth before she’s either deported back to the Netherworld, or she becomes the next victim. Enter Knight Vander, a sinfully attractive investigator sent from the Netherworld to work the case with Dulcie.

excellent!!!
Revisado: 03-07-13
If you could sum up A Discovery of Witches in three words, what would they be?
smile, snicker, roar!!
What did you like best about this story?
The whole idea of combining creatures, history, science with ordinary aspects of daily life and the struggles that envelope us all
Which character – as performed by Jennifer Ikeda – was your favorite?
I didn't really have a favourite character as they were ALL very well performed and I could relate to different aspects of all
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My husband and my son would send murderous looks my way as I was sitting on the couch listening to the book, while snorting, guffawing, snickering and completely laughing out loud, as they were trying to watch tv. I would then try to explain but it never was easy to do, as you had to hear Jennifer's interpretation of the written words to make the explanation worth while!!
Any additional comments?
It was the most wonderous love story, historical fiction novel I have listened to in a very LONG time!!!
