Historia
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

Good story, growl overload.
Revisado: 04-22-25
The plot and characters in Haunting Adeline pulled me in right away — dark, twisted, and full of suspense. The author definitely knows how to build a gritty atmosphere and a compelling romance. That said, she goes into a LOT of detail. Sometimes it felt like every blink, breath, or eyebrow twitch had its own paragraph. And if I had a dollar for every time Zade growled, I could probably fund my own secret society.
Still — the audiobook performance? Flawless. The narrators brought so much life and emotion to the characters, especially in the darker, heavier moments. That alone made it a totally immersive experience.
Overall: Worth the listen. Just… prepare for the growls.

Steamy, seductive, and impossible to pause.
Revisado: 04-16-25
Whew. The Submissive was a seductive, steamy ride from start to finish. Tara Sue Me knows how to write tension, chemistry, and raw connection, and this story delivers it in spades. The plot was easy to follow but still engaging, and it stands perfectly on its own.
But let’s talk about the narration, absolutely top-tier. The narrator didn’t just read the story, she became it. Her ability to switch voices between characters was seamless and added an irresistible layer of intimacy to the experience. She made the steamy scenes sizzle and the emotional ones feel personal.
If you’re in the mood for something bold, sultry, and well-told, The Submissive is a must. Just make sure you’ve got some time to yourself, you won’t want to stop listening.

Historia
What was Pol Pot eating while two million Cambodians were dying of hunger? Did Idi Amin really eat human flesh? And why was Fidel Castro obsessed with one particular cow? Traveling across four continents, from the ruins of Iraq to the savannahs of Kenya, Witold Szabłowski tracked down the personal chefs of five dictators known for the oppression and massacre of their own citizens—Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, Uganda’s Idi Amin, Albania’s Enver Hoxha, Cuba’s Fidel Castro, and Cambodia’s Pol Pot—and listened to their stories.
