Great installment, but way too expensive
Revisado: 01-10-24
Great installment to the series, I really enjoyed listening. But... the price was way too high in my opinion. Charging a credit for a 4-Hour story is robbery

Outstanding storytelling
Revisado: 12-21-23
Ryan sets the stage by painting a dramatic picture of steel, betrayal and redemption while introducing mystical forces yet unknown to the nobles and common folk. This was an amazing 1st book in the series and the next one only gets better!

Not worth the credit.....
Revisado: 05-30-22
Description said book 4 of the cast and outcasts series, its more Ike 2 very short stories. I understand the name of the book states as much but there's only 2 and one of them is completely irrelevant. Not worth the money

BRING BACK PETE BRADBURY
Revisado: 08-15-21
The Demon wars saga is hands down one of the best set of books I've ever read and Pete Bradbury made listening to the audio books the most enjoyable. The narrators for this book are tolerable but they just can't compete... The Desert Prince is a great book don't get me wrong but it would be 100x better if it had a different narrator. UPDATE: A little better after listening to it twice now but still, it sounds like it was written by a completely different person. I don't like how its written in 1st person, all the other Demon Cycles books were not. Once again I have to critique the narrators, it's like they didn't even bother to listen to Pete Bradbury version, they pronounce every Crazion word wrong and it sounds horrible! Please please bring back Pete!!

Great story, a must own series with one drawback..
Revisado: 12-20-20
This has been one of my favorite fantasy series of all time, unique in almost every aspect. The one MAJOR drawback would be the character Shalon. That mixed with the female narrator who performs her parts make this story almost unbearable to listen to when Shalons lines are being read. It is almost worth skipping her chapters just so you do not have to put up with her idiotic ramblings and outlook. But unfortunately she is key part of the story so I force myself to listen. Luckily the rest of the book is amazing so it's only about 10% of the time where I want to smack my head against the wall repeatedly. Currently I am only about halfway through the book, I'm hoping the author will kill her off soon or something to that effect

King Tryton has rebuilt a nation, forged peace from war, and returned his people to the honor they had lost. Now guarding mages, guildmasters, and kings, the rock trolls inspire respect rather than fear. In spite of his feats, it is his family that brings him pride. He has trained his children in every facet of combat, preparing them for a world of conflict.
It will not be enough.

Amazing book in an unforgettable trilogy
Revisado: 11-10-19
I have fallen in love with Ben Hale's universe. The Warsworn is exceptionally unique as it focused on one of Ben's most unforgettable characters.. Triton.. the King of the Rock Trolls. Once you start this trilogy you wont be able to put it down. If you are like me, you will want to read "Seven Days" while you enjoy "Heart of War" as they coincide the same time period. Lastly, Ralph Lister was the perfect shoice for this reading. I only wish he was chosen for the 2nd Draeken War as well. Derrick Perkins is good but at times can lull me to sleep after a long day. Overall I would recommend this Trilogy to fans who love getting lost in this genre as much as I.
