Fascinating account of early westward movement

In his trademark style, McCullough tells the story of the early westward movement of America by focusing on the earliest settlement in Ohio - Marietta. The leaders of the early movement are fleshed out fully and their individual lives are interweaved with the progress and changes in the nation as a whole. Well written. Narration sluggish - found myself thinking, "pick up the pace!"

What did you love best about I'll Give You the Sun?
I loved the recounting of the story from two different points of view, told non-chronologically.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
I just didn't want it to end. It's one of those books where the discovery is so rich that you want to keep on with the characters forever.
