I didn't have any expectations about this book and it truly surprised me. Shona is such a talented and witty story teller that she had me on the edge of my seat, making me feel as if I had been there with her.

Her message is refreshing and insightful. I admire her tenacity and determination and seeing how she's using her voice to normalize so many aspects is refreshing. She's eloquent and has a strong foundation to propel her forward. I found her story to be truly inspiring and perfect to propel me through my own path.

I loved this book and I think everyone should read it. There are so many lessons to inspire anyone.

Faith's candor on subjects we normally lack enough insights to understand makes navigating through the human experience much easier.

I find the content of her book to be on point and I think everyone can pick up a thing or two from it, specially learning how to contextualize subjects such as anxiety, addiction and depression.

As much as I enjoyed her approach, I find the quality of the audiobook 's narration was poor, as she sounded as if she were reading from inside a cave and sometimes overlapping audio edits made me loose focus on the intended message.

I really enjoyed this book. In times of chaos and overwhelm, lots of Dr. Leaf's advice can be broken down into simple steps to help contextualize and acknowledge what causes us to react or feel a certain way.

Really enjoyed learning about different kinds of trauma and the importance of recognizing these moments and giving them the importance they deserve.

The plot was great.
hated the way the narration portrayed any foreign accent as Russian regardless.

I picked this book, initially, because I was intrigued by its artwork cover and I'm glad I did. I didn't know much about transgender issues and I thank Samantha for sharing her experiences as a trans woman, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The art of letting go. Toltec wisdom is incredibly similar to Buddhist teachings and I found that Miguel Ruiz Jr. really conveyed the importance of letting go and continuous introspection. There are many parallels, which could be drawn between both philosophies, something that I personally find fascinating!

On a note purely associated with the Audiobook version: I think the narration would had been best done by a Mexican-American.

I thoroughly enjoyed the plot of this book. The performance was remarkable and truly catching. When I read the synopsis, I imagined something completely different from what I got.

As an individual who works in a large conglomerate, I found this book to be full of knowledge and tangible examples of best practices, all of which put human capital at its heart.
