I absolutely love this series & Swamp Spirits did not disappoint. Cassandra Campbell is a whiz at the narration. She brings the book to life. Of course, Jana DeLeon’s writing is stellar. Looking forward to the next book.

Disappointing Narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of High Five to be better than the print version?

I always like the print version better because I read a lot faster than the audio. However, I enjoy listening to audio while driving or riding the lawn mower. It makes the drive or the chore more pleasurable.

What did you like best about this story?

Stephanie Plum cracks me up. She's always in trouble but lands on her feet every time. She's a very entertaining character.

What didn’t you like about Debi Mazar’s performance?

It's not up to par as the previous Stephanie Plum books. She doesn't use different voices for the various characters. In fact, her performance borders on boring. It was very disappointing when I was used to Critt for the previous Plum advertures and then get someone with a monotone voice. I noticed she is also the narrator for the next Plum book so I have to decide whether I want to cringe the whole book or simply read it in a print version.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I listen while I drive.

Please don't have this person narrate any more books until she comes up with something more than a monotone voice.
