Great Defense
Revisado: 10-04-23
I liked the way the story was told in the first person with a hint of more to come about the person telling the story. I liked the way the story about a murder and the likelihood that the murderer would be convicted. The trial was drawn out expertly and the unlikely “not guilty” verdict of “you can’t kill a dead person” was justified.

Excellent as usual with James Patterson. The title may have been “Judge & Jury” but might as well been “Justice”!

Historia
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Stranger Than Fiction
Revisado: 11-23-22
Being from central Mississippi, having graduated from Ole Miss and visited the Gulf Coast and spent my first honeymoon night in Biloxi, I am familiar with “rumors” of such activity as described by John Grisham, I thoroughly enjoyed the novel and as I said the truth is stranger than fiction!

Justice Served
Revisado: 09-07-22
It’s amazing of all the effort and research that Truman Capote went to reconstruct paths of two young men that committed one of the most horrible crime in killing four innocent and good people on false information given by a fellow inmate that the owner of a big farm surely had a safe stuffed with money could be robbed with little trouble.
An excellent account and description of a real event?

Navy Seals
Revisado: 06-01-22
Total action from the beginning. Being a Navy veteran, I could relate to a lot of the novel but most in envy of what Matt accomplished albeit fiction but made so believable through the authors hand. It really ended with the old saying of what goes around, comes around and justice was served to a devil that got his comeuppance.

Dolly and Rose
Revisado: 03-27-22
The book was one of the best that I have listened to. I have read and Iistened to many of Pattersons books but with Dollys help, it’s one of his best. I feel Ike so much of the novel is Doys life story, or could be. It kept one wanting to hear the next line ‘till the end.
I definitely recommend reading/listening to this novel.

“You Be The Judge”
Revisado: 10-25-21
I was intrigued with the title and when I learned that the novel was about a sitting judge who murdered at least ten people, I could not wait to read or listen to the book.
I did not particularly like a woman hearing a woman read the novel. Not asexual belief but being partially deaf, I had trouble differentiating the many different characters.
I would like to send the book to my friend Jim Scott.
The book was excellent as usual with all of Grisham’s novels and I enjoyed it very much.
