I didn't get very far into this book because I could foresee a HUGE political agenda coming down the pipeline. Down with the US, down with big oil, down with the white man, down with anyone who is not a radical liberal. Peace out Kennedy Ryan.

As for the narrators... Jason Clark is a master narrator. Enough said. I did not stay in the book long enough to give Jo Raylan an honest review but a lot of reviewers did not like her. What I did end up hearing was good but can't really say more than that,

Couldn't make past the 3rd chapter.

the opening of this book is kind of ridiculous. Instant attraction between teacher and prisoner and I can only guess where it goes from there. I thought maybe they would have a unique spin on the story, but nope. Jacob Morgan as usual is great but not liking the girl who narrates.

the idea was good, the execution was flawed. the book was 13 hours, I got through about seven of them and gave up. really disappointed.

So Disappointing

I can't believe this is the same writer who wrote Accidental Tryst. Very blah beginning. The 2 star performance was all for the female narrator. I wasn't even able to get past the first couple chapters so I have no idea about how well the guy narrates. very sad.

Unimaginative

MISPRINT ALERT!!! Graydon Long is not the male narrator, it's Jason Clarke. No wonder why I loved this narrator so much. I fricken love JASON CLARKE!!!

UPDATE! Jason Clarke is the only thing that made me stick with this book. He always gives the right inflection in each word, and let's face it, his voice is panty-droppingly sexy.

The story is just a regurgitation of the first book BURNED. DJ, the self professed bachelor falls for Phina and she doesn't think she's worth being loved. In the middle of all that, she is being stalked. Really???

SPOILER ALERT...Finley's friend Phina(sp?) has a stalker (just like Finley), is taken captive (just like Finley) and she is presumed to be dead by the other (just like Finley and Colin), Seriously, could the writer not have thought up another way to put her in danger so DJ could come to her rescue? And it was so obvious who was writing the notes. I got a migraine from all the eye rolling I did.

THAT SAID... I did listen to the whole book but, as I said before, I really think that had more to do with Jason's narrating than anything.

Love Matthew Hussey!

I was determined that 2020 is to be the year to shake things up in my non-existent love life. That is how I discovered Matthew, I did a google search for the best way to meet men and saw some of his youtube videos. I found him to be quite motivating. I will never be able to afford his seminars or personal sessions but I could afford this book.

He gives such good advice that I listened to it a second time. He definitely motivates you to get the heck out there and make stuff happen. I can attest to the fact that if you wait around for others to come to you, you'll be waiting a long time...alone. The more you put yourself out there, the most chances you will have to meet someone you like.

So Good, Sure to Listen Again

Andi's good but Zachary Webber does one hell of a sexy British accent. Very sweet story with lots of sexual tension, dirty talk and rough sex. Really liked this one because halfway in, they totally shocked me with how the story took a sharp left turn. I was able to guess the shocking surprise before the reveal but it did nothing to diminish the shock value. I like that when they throw you a curve ball you aren't expecting. Highly recommend this book.

I Barely Made It Through

The female character is supposed to be the daughter of a hooker and pimp and raised in this environment yet she doesn't curse, is a virgin (which is fine) but she's super shy about sex talk and forgets that after having sex the 1st time that you bleed and is super embarrassed about it. Come on!!!!

The writer made her eye rollingly innocent. Oh yeah, and she goes to see her pimp father alone with the hope that he'll tell her how he loves her and wants to be back in her life. How stupid can this character be.

It's just stupid choice after stupid choice or misunderstanding. Again COME ON!!!

I'm gonna try to finish this but these characters are making it difficult.

Horrible Beginning, Good Ending

I was very annoyed at the beginning as Emma's character is truly annoying. A lot of round and round with her saying she can't stay but then she does stay. I felt as if the story was stuck in limbo as the info given was useless with bringing us closer to finding out "who-done-it".

Then about half way in, the story picked up and I found the conclusion to be a bit of a shocker.

Jason Clarke is at the top of his craft. That man has a way of making all his characters (even the female ones but more so the males) sound interesting and sexy. Loving him!!! It would have been better had Jason just read the whole book.

As for Erin Mallon, in the beginning, I really liked her way of narrating but am starting to lose that loving feeling. Her voice has been grating on me lately. I thought she sounded extra whiny in these books.

Had a Great Start But Ended Flat

The start of the book was hilarious, smart witted and had a good meet-cute setup. Even the conflict was ok but then it just got ridiculously tedious with (spoiler alert) Luca wanting to end things then wanted to rekindle their relationship by sending only one attempt via letter. Does she call him after or text him... nope but yet she'll go cross country to see him. It would be one thing if she did so to make some Grand gesture but the thought never even crossed her mind to pick up the phone and call...really stupid. Other than that little tidbit the book was fine. I was a bit disappointed that the humor stopped about midway thru the story but all in all it's worth a listen.

And of course Jacob and Andi were amazing as always.
