"It's who you know." "I don't have time." "I'm too old." "That's just the way I am." These crippling statements deny our power to change our lives. In this program, the celebrated author of 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself teaches you how to stop telling yourself these lies that prevent you from being your best.

Outstanding Piece of Work
Revisado: 05-11-05
Although in other reviews of Steve's work a few listeners have commented on his tone of voice (it is rather deep) and his delivery (he isn't as inflective as some readers), I thoroughly enjoyed listening and laughing to his dry sense of humor and his cut-to-the-chase insights. In my view, Steve's delivery is excellent, as you feel like he's right there talking to you (as opposed to simply reading the book to you). Steve's openness and candor about his own foibles makes this work even more enjoyable - as he openly admits that he has told these same lies to himself (and he provides numerous examples), and has struggled as much as (if not more than) most when it comes to getting a grip and taking responsibility for his own life. This is one audio book I plan to listen to again and again. Way to go Steve! BTW... I found a good photo and background info on Steve at http://www.stevechandler.com/about.htm

A Treasure Trove of Valuable Insights
Revisado: 05-06-04
I just completed listening to Quantum Leap Thinking, and found it enlightening and inspiring. The author, who also serves as the narrator, is not only an excellent writer, but also a very easy to listen to speaker. His comfortable, friendly writing style and solid vocal capabilities made it a pleasure to listen to (having been an actor and public speaker, he obviously focused on his speaking ability). James Mapes did an excellent job of covering a wealth of material, and helped bring it home by sharing many of his personal experiences - including failures and successes - which led him to his conclusions. James' insights were often so valuable that I actually pulled over to the side of the road (I generally listen while driving) to make notes for future use.
