Through whatever twists and turns this adventure takes… I will be a loyal listener. This book in particular started to make the astral storylines come together more with the “worldly” plot lines which isn’t always a smooth transition. Can’t wait for what’s next.

As sweet as a latte

Awwww. When I first picked up this book the first chapter felt slow and I put it down, but after getting the audiobook (I did find it through Travis’s narration skills after all) I was able to slip listening into moments throughout my week. This was truly a sweet cafe-core book, and as a fantasy, DND and coffee lover, I really appreciated this fresh take on the fantasy genre. Soothing, sweet and it did pick up pace after the beginning. I found myself smiling more to this book than any other in a loooong time.

This is one I want to share with everyone in my life. Honestly think I’ll listen through a few times. Absolutely recommend. Honest, heartfelt, and well-researched.

Now that I’m done listening I’ll have a life again. Oh wait the 2nd one is out 😁

I thought the narrator did great. The only issue I had was occasionally it was hard to know who was saying what, or if something was a thought in Violet’s head vs out loud. But her character voices and full-emotion reading were stellar IMO.

Also, the very casual and natural presence of a nonbinary character (or I’m not sure but they used they/them pronouns) was done SO well and just… thank you.

If you like dragons! magic! rolls in the hay! DO IT GET THIS BOOK

Love as always but wanted more BBQ details!

Okay it’s incredible as usual, will never get enough of this series, BUT I WAS WAITING FOR SO LONG FOR THEM TO REUNITE and it was basically “and they all had a fun party.” I was like ???!!! I want every single detail of their reunion!

Overall there were other moments like that where it felt like time was skipped before I was ready or it was like plot points listed without much detail. I get that Shirt is cranking out these chapters and keeping it super exciting, but I would love more detail because I love immersing in this world a bit slower.

Fan forever.

Another journey with all the friends :)

This one had some great threads tied up from past books, even resolving things before this story started. While it is YA so sometimes I’m shaking my head at the things characters think or the repetition of certain points, I am still so invested in this world. Loved seeing some of the pairs finally come to fruition in this one 😌😌😌 and I can’t wait for the next! ♥️
