One of my FAVE reads ever

This book was absolutely amazing. One of my favorites in years!! As someone who has spent years in therapy working to my own childhood trauma, this book hit me in all the feels. What a beautiful story about two people with messy backgrounds doing the messy work of loving each other and healing. It was raw, relevant, real. Five stars all around.

Boring

I love getting lost in the world of a story, but unfortunately this read was just boring for me. I made it through chapter ten and I had to quit. It was ongoing for no reason. I couldn’t endure any longer. I guess just not for me.

Loved!

I have read a number of books by Molly Harper and I have absolutely enjoyed this one. I read all of the books under the Mystic Bayou series and her new witches series and really enjoyed those, I enjoyed the one where the character is a vampire much less, but was very pleasantly surprised with Changeling in how much fun this book was. I’m sad it’s only a 3-book series, and I can’t wait to jump into the next books. This is kind of a cross between Wednesday and Harry Potter and I absolutely love it!

Fun read

After reading Molly Harper’s Bayou I was in love with her writing! I read the witches series too, but felt the characters in this book to be a letdown. Jane was kind of a pushover, there were so many toxic dynamics amongst characters, unlike the powerhouse of ladies of the Bayou, how kickass, intelligent, strong, funny they are, this was disappointing. Hoping to find other books by Harper that have the Bayou and Witch style of awesome female protagonists.

What a delightful read!!

What a refreshing read! These characters are spunky, fun, intelligent, emotionally intelligent, not the self-hating characters that are filled with incessant drama you see so often in rom-coms. I soooo thoroughly enjoyed this book! Can’t wait for the next one!

Cute story

Love the author’s work, cute rom-com, loved the k-pop world (being new to it), however I wish I had heard the sister’s story instead. The protagonist is painfully emotionally stunted, it’s so frustrating to be alongside as we go through situations where she’s so incredibly immature. It’s great to see her self-discovery, but honestly I would have loved to hear stories where we explore Hanna’s world or her sister who’s done the therapy, knows how to set boundaries, and has more emotional maturity.

Hopeless character

I love Higgins’ books and characters, but this is the first time I had to skip ahead through much of the book because the main character is just so hard to respect. She has incredible issues with boundaries, self-respect, self-awareness, babbles non-stop, it was like watching a train-wreck in slow motion. Painful. I’m glad this book is over.
