Alice Winters and Micheal Furraiuolo are a winning duo. I've never listened to a book either were involved with and been disappointed and this is no different. It's not often Alice writes a stand alone book, but she blew it out of the water! Great story, great characters, great acting. *chef's kiss*

host is nice. I generally do not enjoy listening to women, but I like her voice. I enjoy how short the episodes are, great for doing errands, a quick break, or not in the mood for long winded tales. overall it's nice.

the Secret of NIMH was one of my favorite childhood movies, watched it almost every day and wore out the VHS. As an adult, the book is just as good in a much better way. I really enjoy the subtle science fiction aspect of these life lessons of hubris work ethics and humanity. it's no wonder why it won the awards.

I think I found a new favorite!

the narrator is always wonderful and brings life to the characters well. the way the author pulls the story together through emotion and humor is amazing, always well done and great at comedy. one of my two favorites, she never disappoints, especially with this narrator (along with Greg Tremblay) and the way he performs her work so well. well worth the listen!!

Fablehaven has been my favorite book series since I discovered it before the fifth book was released, the Dragonwatch series did not disappoint in the slightest. Brandon Mull is a genius with his style and presentation skills and the narrator (and the narrator for Fablehaven) is outstanding. 100% recommend for anyone who loves a good story, a fairytale, an action scene, a coming of age tale, a good versus evil epic and so much more! As an adult I can definitely say these are family friendly books with great plot and wonderful performance for adults and kids. great road trip books!!

Not Your Average Angsty Vampire

I saw this book/series when I first downloaded audible more than a year ago. Contrast to popular opinion, I dislike vampires and their stories because of all their angst and, for lack of empathy, whining. I saw it again and again as I got more books and I finally go a different Alice Winters series and absolutely loved it. Her style perfect execution of sarcasm and comedy is phenomenal and i got another of her series and loved it as well. Now I've listened to the first two of these and I can happily tell you this is not your average angsty vampire story! I love every minute of it.

love this series! so far it's been 98% plot with some teasing and banter about the sex. the reader/listener knows it will and has taken place, but it leaves out the good stuff. story makes up for it, very good!
