Historia
Molly Frost is fed up.... Because Olivia was yelled at for wearing a tank top. Because Liza got dress coded and Molly didn't, even though they were wearing the exact same outfit. Because when Jessica was pulled over by the principal and missed a math quiz, her teacher gave her an F. Because it's impossible to find shorts that are longer than her fingertips. Because girls' bodies are not a distraction. Because middle school is hard enough.

My new favorite book
- De Amy Jane Caldwell en 10-12-20
YOU deserve this wonderful book.
Revisado: 03-16-25
I just LOVED this book so much. Unfair dress codes are a very real and sexist issue, and I was so relieved to find a book that doesn’t sugarcoat the problem. A lot of people see this as a feminist issue, but It’s also involves boys, as dress code enforcers use boys as an excuse, saying that “boys are trying to get their work done and they don’t need girls distracting them”. No gender deserves their elders treating them that way. Cassandra Morris does a great job, as well as the other narrators. The only thing is that the main narrator sometimes sounds a little too “Girly” for Molly, who strikes me as a little more of a tomboy. If you didn’t enjoy this book, that’s honestly a little sexist people! Do you really want to be that person?!?!?

The prettiest: It’s the last thing Eve Hoffmann expected to be, the only thing Sophie Kane wants to be, and something Nessa Flores-Brady knows she’ll never be...until a list appears online, ranking the top 50 prettiest girls in the eighth grade. It’s time for a takedown. As the three girls band together, they begin to stand up not just for themselves, but for one another, too.

Great for girls (and boys!) entering middle school!
Revisado: 03-16-25
I loved this book so much. It was relatable in more ways than as thought possible, it kept me engaged throughout, and I never wanted to put it down! I loved how the chapters switched between girls, I felt like I got to be in their bodies for a while. Laura Knight Keating does an amazing job, and I loved her so much I actually searched for other book she narrated! She does an amazing job of expressing the characters feeling without feeling too cheesy and fake. 100% recommend this book!!!

The narrator ruined the cute story for me…..
Revisado: 03-16-25
The narrator was honesty terrible. Listen to the sample to find out if you love nasal, gravelly, voices!! As for the story, the car accident was relatable, but the mystery was very unrealistic. I’m glad this was free because I would not feel satisfied with a purchase. I have listened to other of Bridget Young’s books, and they were MUCH better. I’d pass on this one, but check out some more of her’s!

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Not the best book………… wouldn’t waste your time!
NOT good for learning life lessons!! I wouldn’t recommend this for younger kids, they may get the wrong interpretation, as this series teaches a lot of lies.

Coyote’s story fills the hole in your heart you didn’t know was there!
Revisado: 03-27-24
I didn’t know coyote had another story to share with us, but of course she did!! I have no hesitation in recommending this book, so heartfelt - and a little sad - yet with the perfect balance of unique and creative humor. This seires also addresses important issues related to racism, covid 19, LGBTQ+, but the author puts these in a quiet way, in my opinion completely appropriate for ages 8+. (Even my grandma liked this duo!) Khristine Hvan does the best narration ever, and speaks clearly the entire time and fits the parts perfectly! BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing book for ages 8+, awesome for kids and their parents. I do recommend listening to the first one first. It wont make as much sense (: By the way, I think we should all try and by more like Wally. Listen to the book to see what I mean! If you love this book I recommend The Land Of Stories by Chris Colfer, Chirp by Kate Messner, The Seventh Wish by Kate Messner, The Sea In Winter by Christine Day, I Can Make This Promise by Christine Day

Five years. That's how long Coyote and her dad, Rodeo, have lived on the road in an old school bus, criss-crossing the nation. It's also how long ago Coyote lost her mom and two sisters in a car crash. Coyote hasn't been home in all that time, but when she learns that the park in her old neighborhood is being demolished - the very same park where she, her mom, and her sisters buried a treasured memory box - she devises an elaborate plan to get her dad to drive 3,600 miles back to Washington state in four days...without him realizing it.

A pull on the heartstrings for all ages!
Revisado: 02-01-24
Great book/audiobook! I would recommend this book for ages 8+.The narrator fits the part of coyote perfectly and the characters are very relatable. And sweet baby chipmunks don’t listen to the bad reviews, this is a great book! If you don’t feel like purchasing the book, check it out from your local library! Overall, I would say that the book makes you really feel what the other characters are feeling and that, in my opinion, is the best characteristic a book can have. The author was able to go over important factors in life without being to oblivious and obvious. The only thing is that some families may be sensitive to some of the minor language used in this book, such as God, Lord, and Hell, which I barely noticed and I don’t really understand why this is such a big deal for people. they are just words! BUY THIS BOOK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants - rather than the BFG - she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!
