My wife and I were given this book by a dear friend who disclosed after we had read it. That he is a direct descendant of Drake, the angel that came to Vinny. This experience is a MUST READ.

Moments of great truth woven in.

I felt the best parts of this book where the raw story narrative of his trip above the Arctic circle, I liked how he wove in his research, though the worldview behind much of his research I still question as related to ultimate truth.

I wish there was far more of things included that we could actually do to increase our adaptation and strength.

A rare book of truth and sensitivity

It is not often that you I have a chance to experience a book of this depth and sensitivity about such a holy subject. I knew Cory, having just met him a few times while serving in the temple in American Fork Utah. He is humble, meek, and handles this topic very well.

I really loved hearing all the additional narrative of the chosen, a wonderful thing to read and review. I would recommend all fans of the chosen by this audio presentation and anybody who loves the story of Christ.

This book comes right on the heels of Heavenly Man by Brother Yun, as one of my favorite recent books to listen to. What an amazing story from the early days of her life and communist China, and the wonderful truths of her situation she was willing to share.

Read only If you want to be on fire for the Lord!

The only book about a disciple of Jesus Christ in our day that I know that is better than this is the original story of the Heavenly Man, Brother Yun. but if you want to learn what he teaches others, then read this book. But be prepared to be changed to your very heartstrings.

Miracles in China in Transformative true story

I haven't read a book like this in months or years. I was referred to this book by a young lady who said it absolutely transformed her life and helped her come to Jesus Christ. Her testimony alone was enough, but the stories of Brother Yun take it to an entirely different level. The complacency of the West because of our wealth and ease of life are made painfully aware in this wonderful story of sacrifice, faith come and obedience.
