A good narration of Algeria’s traumatic independence war, and it’s consequences. The progressive strangeness of several generations from a cause, an identity, a language, a country. The novel is well written and makes you understand the conflict of those that leave their homeland behind. Good reader.

Exciting, interesting, essential

This is an essential book to get a clear perspective of where we stand in relation to human progress. It is a defense of reason, and of the values of the Enlightenment, which have propelled over the years an improvement of our condition, rights and dignity in a complex world, still full of superstition, tyrannical influences and ignorance. Sound arguments that captivate your interest.

This novel, very much based on real events that have taken place in the Spanish Basque Country during the last decades, present a compelling portrait of the life of victims of terrorism, and of the motivation, drive and defeat of the spirit of a criminal organization that impregnated the everyday life of some villages.
The novel is a first attempt to delve into the psychology of victims and perpetrators in a context that justified the unjustifiable. A very important work that brings light to an obscure period of recent history.
The novel is exceptionally read by Juan Magraner.

Excellent survey of classical music, with an emphasis on baroque music and some of the major composers of all times. The professor is very good.
