I felt like I was listening to an infomercial.
Revisado: 01-20-20
I admit, this was a well put-together book. The author explains the benefits of meditation very thoroughly. However, she briefly goes over her method that she calls the Ziva technique and explains how you can get much more comprehensive information from her online class that costs $399. There are also numerous testimonials from people who have taken her class, online or in-person. Honestly I was sold on taking the class until I saw the price. This book should be free, as it is just an add for her class.

Great book, but missing something...

When I bought this through Audible, I didn't realize it was a 30-day diet reset. The book is well-written and narrated, however it refers to the "PDF" containing recipes. The audible version did not come with a PDF, and I haven't found a link except the one with shopping lists. It would be nice if the audible description clearly stated that it was incomplete. I would have purchased it in print.

Many women are wired to control. You’re the ones who make sure the house is clean, the meals are prepared, the beds are made, the children are dressed, and everyone gets to work, school, and other activities on time. But trying to control everything can be exhausting, and it can also cause friction with your friends and family.

Couldn't hold my attention
Revisado: 06-06-17
I bought this book as part of small group class at my church. The concept of this book was great, and I identified with the theme. However, the author couldn't hold my attention. I found myself skimming over the multitude of personal stories she filled the book with (I also bought this in print) to get to the "good stuff" and while driving I would try hard to focus on the book but would find myself tuning her out. Ultimately, I never finished the book.

4-hr work week
Revisado: 07-30-12
What disappointed you about The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated)?
I was disappointed because most of it seems geared toward business owners or people that have desk jobs.
What was most disappointing about Timothy Ferriss’s story?
Same as above. However, I do like the idea of writing down your ideal lifestyle and not putting off travel until retirement. It helps to make choices that will move you toward your goal.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ray Porter?
Someone that sounded a little happier :-)
