Historia
For Detective Chief Inspector Ryan, the stakes have never been higher. Most of the world thinks he’s dead, killed by an assasin's rifle in his own home. But another man took the bullet intended for him, and now Ryan’s living on borrowed time. As long as he stays ‘dead’, in the sanctuary of his parents’ home in Devon, there’s a chance to find the people behind the deadly killing network. It’s only a matter of time before his secret’s uncovered, and nowhere will be safe.

Stop the whining!
Revisado: 11-15-24
Much of the book revolved around the detective Gordy Haig, whining about the loss of her partner. There was more whining than there was story. Let’s hope that if there is a next book in this series that David Gatward stops all the crying and returns to books with a plot and some sense of humor. I really hated this book.

The ridiculous love letters from the Prime Minister
Revisado: 10-06-24
Totally unlike the authors, usual books, this one is just silly. Period maybe people wrote such letters 100 years ago, but I found them offputting. There isn’t much of a pot on top of that.

Revisado: 08-06-24
I love the writing of this book, and the narrator did a wonderful job of capturing the atmosphere. This is my second know by the author, and the best of the two. I don’t know how long the series is, but I look forward to other novels by the author.
It helps that the western part of the country. It’s so interesting.

Historia
In the first of three essays included in this audiobook, Bill Bryson decides to move his wife and kids back to his homeland, the United States, after nearly two decades in Britain. But not before taking one last trip around Britain, a sort of valedictory tour of the green and kindly island that had so long been his home. The result is a hilarious social commentary.

As luck would have it, someone had installed a cache of spy-cams all around his luxurious home. The team hope that they’ll find answers - and the culprit - among the video recordings.
