actually very entertaining
Revisado: 09-18-24
I've never read or listened to anything like this before. it was actually pretty entertaining and an enjoyable story. a god from another world brings a man after he is killed in a righteous act on earth to his world where extinction of the native people seem imminent, as no male alive, or very few are fertile or able to impregnate the women. the younger men closely resemble eunuch's because their masculinity has been taken by a powerful curse, so it's the main characters job to to act , and with haste to repopulate their land with his strong cock and over powering sperm thanks to the god who brought him to this strange new land lol definitely 18 and up on this one.

what another great work of art. I fell in love with this story from book 1, right away it drew me in and I cannot wait for the next one. I hope there are at least two more, but feel free to go a few beyond that if you can Mr Tucker lol what an amazing continuation to this series. can't wait to get news that you're working on book four.

Loved this series
Revisado: 04-08-24
really enjoyed these books. story was written well and the books pacing was on point, even if I do wish the books had been longer, but still, I was very entertained through all three books, and the intrigue and mystery keep you hooked with a barbed hook and there's no way of getting free. I read a lot of negative reviews before deciding to jump into book one, but all of the good reviews outweighed the bad by far, and I get it, lit RPG is a completely different style of writing and you pretty much need to be a gamer to really get the just of it and to actually get excited. maybe you don't need to be a gamer, but you really do need to have an open mind to a different genre and style. I think it may be easier for a gamer to adapt and love this type of book, but truthfully the book is just that entertaining out of the gate. if you're hesitant about lit RPGs I'm going to just tell you right now that this author really knows how to deliver a great story, make it interesting and entertaining. just spend three credit. I normally stick to straight fantasy and I loved this.

James and his team are now Earth's last line of defense amidst the chaos of New York City. But with each Nemesis wave they defeat and each power James unveils, a grim truth unfolds: they're being manipulated. The enemy not only predicts their actions, it feeds on them. Their struggle may be nothing more than a sinister game or a prelude to annihilation. To stand a chance, they must rewrite the rules. In the dwindling light of hope, James embraces his role as a leader. Tough decisions, impossible sacrifices, and the weight of the world on his shoulders—he'll face it all.

Wow, insane
Revisado: 03-28-24
Phil Tucker's writing style is amazingly good. I got lost in the immoral great souls books and after loving them as much as I did I had to check out Phil's other works. I'm normally opposed to real world type books and prefer built worlds around fantasy with nothing remotely familiar to "the real world" but... after making it to the end of the second book I'm very impressed with these books. as I won't say that I love this story as much as I did the the immoral great souls books, these books aren't all that much less of a tier in ranking. I would describe it as same tier, maybe just a little less, but really just more along the lines of different stats, or maybe a different ability that is very attractive, just not quite on the same exact level. basically what I'm saying is that I still love bastion slightly more lol and if these books turn out to be a prequel series somehow I'll like them that much more than I already do. I enjoyed the litrpg style in this story as well. I haven't read a whole lot of that style of books but I have a few now and I do really enjoy them.

Revisado: 03-21-24
well, I had written a very detailed review of this book and listed a lot of strengths with nothing at all negative about the book and it was not posted. I just finished the second book so I'll be starting the third. very entertaining story. love that mechanics of the leveling. only my third litrpg book and I really like the genera. I'll be reading more from here on out. I feel like bastion was right on the line for litrpg. so close but not quite lol but I loved the books either way. if you're a fan of Phil Tucker, read any of his other books and loved them then you'll most definitely like this one too. it doesn't take long to get hooked, so spend the tokens and get these. after you start the first you'll get the next

Revisado: 10-01-23
Don't listen to the bad reviews on this book. this series is so good it's scary. some people are just impossible to please. I loved this story even more than the first one and I really loved the first one too. I'm so happy that I found this series and author. I'm sad that I've finished it already and my only complaint is that it wasn't as long as the first, but that's ok. this story is so epic and amazing and I cannot wait for the next one. I hope for many more books in this series. it's that good! I think this is the best narration by Nick that I've so far heard. he did wonderfully.

actually a really good story.
Revisado: 09-23-23
at first I wasn't sure about this book. it was the narrator that I really couldn't stand. the style of writing was a little awkward as well and reminded me a little of Robert Jordan's style just not quite as detailed. it was hard to get used to Robert Jordan's style as well for me. to be honest I almost couldn't continue to listen to this book. the writing and the narrator made it hard, but I read reviews on this title before I decided to purchase it saying the same sorts of things, and they were right. I pushed on becoming a little more and a little more intrigued as the story went on. the narrator didn't do an awful job but I think that as the story went on he got a little better. the book was pretty good. good enough that I would like to continue this series and I would recommend this story. grasp at the mystery to help you move through this book. it gets quite good.
